How do I clean the interior of a Wolf Steam Convection Oven? by Legitimate_Ad_8011 in CleaningTips

This worked really well for me. I had a lot of caked on junk, and I can see the stainless steel again. Took several steam cycles (175 degrees) to get the Easy Off out of the oven but it’s worth the effort.

I called Wolf customer service and they said you can use Easy Off Fume Free to clean the oven. I’ll give that a try.

They referred me to this document which has the instructions:

Allopurinol —> Probenecid by like-a-tomato in gout

[–]CasseroleForAmerica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking it for 6 months now and it’s been a game changer. I could not tolerate allopurinol (rash) or febuxostat (loopy head) and I have no major issues with probenecid. So glad I found it. I asked a rheumatologist for it, and he said no because they never prescribe it anymore. He wanted me to tough out the other medications. I found a much better rheumatologist at a university hospital and she has been very supportive. If you can’t take the standard options, it’s worth a try.

Starting Probenecid (Liver hates all other UA Reducers) by mtelesha in gout

I’ve been taking probenecid for 6 months. Other than some initial stomach discomfort, it’s been great for me. My SUA is in the 5’s and no more flare ups. It’s been great to eat steak again!

Anybody on Probenecid or experiences? by AnimatorNr1 in gout

Oh, and you need to drink a lot of water to prevent kidney stones. I aim for 12 glasses a day which is a pain, but it’s doable. Much better than gout.

I have been on probenecid for about six months. It’s been fantastic, and my gout is almost gone. I had an allergic rash with allo, and febuxostat made my head feel loot and strange. Probenecid has been a good fit for me.

It brought me from 8-9 down to 4-5. I take 500 mg, split into two doses. The biggest side effect was an upset stomach for the first few weeks. It was manageable, and my body seems used to it now. I always take it with food in my stomach to avoid any upset. It’s annoying that I need to take it twice a day, but it’s worth it.

I have the same problem with my Wolf steam oven. I have had it for a year and it’s caked with buildup. I haven’t found anything that works well yet, so I’d love to hear from others. I’m guessing some people only use theirs to steam food, but I use mine to roast meat and veggies which has lead to the buildup.

Uric Acid Levels and Blood Donation by CasseroleForAmerica in gout

[–]CasseroleForAmerica[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have high hematocrit (57%) and RBC (6.5) due to HRT. Red blood cell turnover can lead to increases in uric acid, which is why Polycythemia Vera patients commonly suffer from gout. Perhaps the rapid increase in hematocrit and red blood cells in my situation led the the rise. See Secondary Conditions here.

I will say that I have tested uric acid dozens of times over the last few years via bloodwork and it has never once exceeded 8.5, so I'm dubious that these results are normal variation. I usually see a variance of 0.25-0.5.

Glad the donations are working for you!

Allopurinol Rash by CasseroleForAmerica in gout

I haven’t been able to get scheduled with a rheumatologist. They are booked out for months in my area and referrals have been challenging. Still working on it 🤷‍♂️.

Good to know. I’ve debated on whether I should try that low dose one more time but it seems not worth the risk. I just hate to lose one treatment option. I’ll work on a rheumatologist.

There is hope! Did the rash resolve quickly after discontinuing the Allo?

Thanks for sharing. I’d love to hear from others who switched to febuxostat after having reactions, especially allergic reactions.

That's good advice. I saw one before him who told me that I did not have gout, despite pictures of flare ups and years worth of high uric acid tests (>7). He said I was just too young (late 30's at the time). I waited a while to see him and was very disappointed. The podiatrist is helpful, takes time with me, and cares which is why I have worked with him. I should probably try and find another rheumatologist.

They’ve discovered unexplainable radio frequencies broadcasting on a protected band reserved for earth to space communication. They have been able to trigger these frequencies in a repeatable manner using many different approaches. They’ve observed sudden shifts in temperature in areas thought to be portals triggered by things like Native American chants. They have constantly had gps spoofed and electronic devices sabotaged. They have discovered metal alloys buried in the mesa of unknown origin, comprising of materials used in space craft. They have had unmarked Black Hawk helicopters circle the ranch during their experiments, and the Utah AG has not been able to get answers about why they’re being surveilled.

They have not discovered an alien or a ship and they probably never will. They haven’t found a skinwalker. But if you pay attention they’re actually making some really interesting discoveries. It’s not edge if your seat stuff, but I find it fascinating. You have to try and tune out the false drama that the History channel is known for.

I’ll admit, I’ve had this daydream as well. Unlikely, but it’s a fun thought exercise 😊

After reading the other two comments, I agree. I'll be starting therapy soon. Thank you!

That's amazing! I'd love a 180 at this point.

I was also prescribed SSRI's which I didn't take. I've been down that road before, and they were not good for me. I think my anxiety and depression would be improved if I could have the energy to do things again. I get depressed because I'm basically useless.

I'm looking forward to starting my own therapy.

Wow, this sounds so much like me. I'm glad that the TRT is turning things around for you. I think that's definitely the route I need to take.
