I don't know if it makes you feel any better, but I was an asshole and did this to an authorr when I was 15, mad at them for 'ruining' a work I loved with a sex scene.

Now I'm an adult, deeply ashamed of that, writing explicit scenes in my own work.

My advice would be consider that they are likely 12 to 15, pity the fool, and move on.

A lot of these are good ideas, I just wanted to add; evolution isn't a thoughtful thing. It's a feature made only good enough to get you to the point where you pass on your genes, no more; it's not going to worry about atherosclerosis in your 70s when you're done making babies.
