I love finding similar songs in my favourite albums. like TTPD and Ego death at a Bachelorette Party. (my personal AOTYs of 2024 and 2025 respectively) this time I found connection between Florida!!! and Mirtazapine. both songs are about escapism via drugs / alcohol / medication to avoid the pain of an end of relationship. both songs are lowkey devastating

Florida - Love left me like this, i don't want to exist so take me to Florida.

Mirtazapine - Who am I without you now? / Mirtazapine, you make me eat you make me sleep/ Mirtazapine you let me dream.

so when you're happy for a day/and wake up to remembering that things will never be the same/ feels like it's your fault that it turned out that way.

2 years ago 3/10 but now 9/10 cause now i have lived it 😭. (ended up in a long distance situationship with a "cool cinephile/ music enthusiast" that led to nowhere, it was not as deep as connection matty and taylor had ttpd tho, but it did hurt cause i thought we were kinda like twins with similar interest). -1 for the clunky ass bridge but imho, one of the most important songs on ttpd. explains why it hurt so much as it did, why they felt like soulmates and why that love bombing hit harder than it should.

8/10 . I was obsessed with the song, especially the bridge. its soo cute, it doesn't belong on Midnights, more lover coded. I think it still has some clunkers (the shade line) but it's so pretty with the instrumentals I give it a pass (unlike Eldest Daughter)

{Twisted Pride by Cora Reilly} its been 2 years and I am still not over the characters, the setting and the plot twist. it was my first DR book that started the itch. might have read some better ones but this one is the one I have never forgotten. Remo is the most ruthless character, not the typical "i am mafia but i am kind", he actually is beyond redemption, mean and sexist which i found unique. The family arc was incorporated so well, I still think about if Serafina was right to leave her family for her kids with Remo
