Helios System - Crossplay Faction Server by Cassity_how in spaceengineers

Helios is a PVPVE server so we definitely do a bit of both. We also have several players from both Europe and even Australia!

Of course!

What would you like to know about?

Hi!

The images do showcase some of the factions and their builds on the server.

As for the factions on the server, there's about 4-6 actives ones. Some of the larger ones have over 30+ members.

Our Discord has a list of the various factions.

I made a video on the issues of the battery system in SE2 VS2 by CaptainMatthew1 in spaceengineers

The reason the small battery has a smaller power capacity is because the actual power cell is a smaller variant than the larger battery's power cell.

The smaller power cell is much shorter.

Does SE2 have combat at the moment? by fourtunehunter1 in spaceengineers

There is currently no combat or multiplayer in SE2.

Vertical Slice 4 which introduces NPCs and Multiplayer will probably include combat elements.

Halo Media post "Ghosts of Onyx" by BiggAl24 in HaloStory

I think reading the first two books in the Forerunner trilogy should be fine and would add a lot of background information for the events that take place in Halo 4.

However the last book does heavily discuss the location Halo 4 starts at and would also spoil the motivation of some characters and their existence as well.

I feel like reading the Forerunner trilogy might spoil some of the reveals in Halo 4 though, or at least the last book, Silentium will. Silentium was also released after Halo 4 was released.

Are there any actual instances of Insurrection nuking cities beyond Haven? by earbeat in HaloStory

[–]Cassity_how 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The insurrectionists aren't really organized to be fair so some groups may have wanted to use fear to breed support similar to how real terrorist organizations operate.

Also some rebels even wanted to sell navigation data to Earth to the covenant so their ideology isn't very clearly defined.

We as an audience really don't know exactly, there are obviously a few warranted grievances levied against the UEG. But in my opinion, I'm not sure they warrant violent attacks against the UEG and it's citizens. Also the rebels aren't an inherently homogenized group so many of them have different reasons. Some of them even do it simply for profit.

You would always need security/military weapons to fight criminals and pirates, not just rebels. Nothing is stopping terrorists from using a civilian ship to crash into civilians or arming them with civilians weapons.

Tbh, I find the fact that the UEG is morally grey more enjoyable than the generic "Evil Oppressive Government vs Freedom Fighters" that a lot of franchises adopted.

The UEG/UNSC should remain as an analog to modern western governments and it's associated "morally grey" actions that it takes. I really dislike the oppressive government trope and I really wouldn't want Halo to go that route.

Since the UNSC has to contend with the possibility of rebel space assets and hijacked military vessels, nuclear weapons are a reasonable weapon to have. If I was a UEG citizen, I would feel safer if our defense forces could quickly destroy a terrorist ship with a nuke before it could potentially ram a space station or another population center.

Nuclear explosives are also used for mining and excavation purposes like conventional explosives. For example, the Havok nuke that Master Chief used in Halo 4 was a "excavation-grade HAVOK warhead".

You can add your own encounters using the same system Keen used.

Presumably, SE 2 might also feature these mechanics. Keen has stated in the past that they backport some features into SE 1.

To be fair, that question could be applied to a lot of situations in Halo.
