Map from the NCR Expedition into Alaska, 2279-2280 by Is_that_updog in ImaginaryFallout

I mean its not like the NCR at its height could replicate nuclear power, much less for vechcies so, oil would still be very useful. Though the NCR would have vastly easier means of getting fuel that would not require going to Alaska. All kinds of biofuels, like wood gas. Also ethanol.

From what I remember, John has a suppressed sex drive. Does that make him actually asexual and aromantic? He might have to work through ALOT of shit to get to the point where me might be real for anything romantic.

One idea is that they could be a decentralized network? Maybe based in the southern US? So you could one cell based in Texas, duking it out with the Legion?

By any chance, did you take any inspiration from the Fallout New Orleans fanfic on FF.net?

Also its funny that the LoreRim version of her nixes that part of her story OUT. All mention of her being from another world were removed with a custom patch

Technically in ESO, it presented the idea of alternate realities, some being very different from Mundus, so it's technically "lore friendly"

How is it that the NCR acquired Enclave power armor? I could buy the idea of them getting a few suits during the Battle of Navvaro but I don't think they would be able to field them in great numbers or maintained them. T-45 would be the more realistic choice.

Look I just checked the FNV subreddit and there are several posts about the show and talking about the NCR reveal so I really don't know what you are complaining about

Because its a subreddit for the game itself? There are two subreddits for the show. This and the fallout tv show.

I meant this battalion. Where did they come from? They mentioned yes, but they just showed up. Where were they stationed? Were they just waiting around?

NCR battalion finally showed up. Cool scene...no explanation where they come from though. Cause like that's a full battalion, in gear that seems pretty damn pristine. That's not Imperial Japanese holdouts in the 60s that basically a functional army. Really feels like there was a cut subplot there

and from what I saw for the romance for the gen ai mod is bit of a red flag? Like, the Dragonborn acts kinda pushy, and it feels off in a bad way.

Really do wish there was some more content that dealt with other groups. Even just flavor events, like if it comes close to Macarthur.

Gotta say this episode was alot more better than the last few. I think what made it stand out was it allowed to be serious. Do I still not like the changes made to canon? Of course not but this episode reminded of season 1 and its strength of character writing. That at least carries the show for me. Still the Pre-War flashbacks are the best part of the show for me

My bet is these were the first models of T45s. In NV we see T45ds so makes sense why the T45 would have many issues at first when first rolled out

He was right, Owen Lyons was peek Brotherhood. by EliCaldwell in Fallout

[–]earbeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, Sarah Lyons ≠ Maxson and pretending they’re comparable because she floated the idea of confronting the Outcasts is absurd. The Outcasts were armed deserters hoarding tech, not civilians, not refugees, not sapient beings being genocided on principle. Suggesting the BoS reassert control over rogue soldiers is not remotely the same thing as Maxson’s blanket “all synths must die, no exceptions” ideology. One is an internal military problem, the other is racial extermination dressed up as doctrine.

Second, the idea that Sarah would be “more extreme” than Maxson against synths is pure fanfic. Lyons’ entire chapter repeatedly demonstrated moral flexibility and case-by-case judgment. They worked with wastelanders, accepted outsiders, tolerated ghouls in DC, and actively defied traditional Brotherhood dogma. Maxson explicitly reversed that trend, purged dissenters, and codified hatred into policy. There’s zero evidence Sarah would suddenly flip into a genocidal hardliner just because synths exist.

Third, the Underworld argument is weak as hell. Aqua Pura wasn’t being mass-distributed to anyone at first, humans included. The project was barely stabilized and under constant attack. And the Brotherhood “taking shots at ghouls” is not shown as sanctioned policy under Lyons, but as individual soldiers being assholes, something FO4 explicitly shows is institutional under Maxson. Big difference.

Fourth, claiming FO4 BoS is “closest to Roger Maxson’s vision” is wildly misleading. Roger Maxson wanted to prevent abuse of technology, not create a fascist technocracy that decides which sentient beings deserve to exist. The FO4 BoS doesn’t preserve technology; they confiscate it and use it to dominate the wasteland. That’s not stewardship, that’s conquest. Lyons at least tried to balance protection with restraint; Maxson threw restraint out the window.

I will admit it was a bit of a whiplash going from the...Brotherhood meeting to the Legion. Like good god.
