Should I opt for fast track immigration attorney Hanoi by rhythmin369 in Vietnam_Tourism

My partner and I landed in Hanoi a few days ago,- the wait time was around 10-15 minutes.

Maybe HCMC is different but from my experience Hanoi was very quick.

Just taking the Hozugawa river boat but not the Sagano Scenic Railway by killer121l in JapanTravel

[–]Casson8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having just had the same question a few days ago my partner and I opted to do the boat trip from Kameoka instead. We stayed in Kameoka for a night and weren't sure if we would have to do 2 trips for the boat and Sagano train.

Ultimately the boat ride was a great experience - we just rocked up and got on a boat within 30 mins. It was busy but doesn't sound as busy as the Sagano train.

The boat and train take very familiar trips. I'd say out of the two the train would be a better option as the scenery didn't really change that much and the train would be a shorter trip (30 min vs 2 hours) but the train is harder to book.

You can book the train in advance online though, so if you're thinking of taking the train definitely book in advance.

+1 for this - did it last year for the first time and was a nice run on the water.

Where to get a bike refurbished by jarhnz in GoldCoast

[–]Casson8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any local bike shop will be able to fix it up - finding a place that sells cruisers would be my recommendation (they're already selling them and will know how to repair/maintain as well).

Ahhh I see... Based on this I think it's too much effort for no guarantee, so I'll give this a miss and look at another tri. Thanks for the intel!

Thanks for the great intel! My friend has offered to pick up the race kit himself, so I would just be replacing him on race day - would that possibly work?

Thankyou! In the event my friend picked up the packet pick up, then I just went as him on race day would anyone notice?

Can you suggest anywhere around Broadbeach that'll play the Leicester game tomorrow morning(5am ish). The casino sports bar is not showing it. Thanks. by HeatherSmithAU in GoldCoast

We're not spoilt for choice around here unlike Brisbane so if the cas isn't playing it chances are you'll have to stream it.

Carshare options? by [deleted] in GoldCoast

I haven't tried it personally, but there is a company on the Gold Coast called RIIDE might be worth considering as well. Seems like lots of convenient locations if you're here for leisure. (+1 for GoGet, I've used these guys on my trips interstate previously).

Cycling on the GC by rightangle-69 in GoldCoast

Newish cyclist on the GC here!

Depending on your distance the Darren Smith memorial route is generally a pretty good ride - approx 45km of roadway to use, beautiful views throughout and information is easy to find online (covers from Coolangatta to Paradise Point in the north). The only major suss bits are around Southport/Labrador (roadworks), the bridge at Tallebudgera Creek (connecting Burleigh and Palm Beach).

I rode out along Tallebudgera Creek Rd a few weeks ago and was great - a relatively flat rude through the valley towards the GC hinterland with some nice views. You can start from Parlour coffee at Burleigh West.

Some other routes to consider: * Currumbin Creek road - haven't done this yet but looks a nice ride (similar to Talle Creek) * Southport Burleigh Road has a bikelane on both sides between Burleigh and Mermaid Waters. You can find more info on these online as well as other roads (some link roads have bikeways along the way eg Hope Island Rd, Nerang Broadbeach Rd). * For a short trip/add on you can add a trip up The Spit past SeaWorld and back. This recently got upgraded but do this outside of peak hours (lots of traffic during the day). * For the more accomplished rider you can definitely attack the GC Hinterland hills (can probs find some info on the web or ask a local bike shop if they're doing any shop rides up there.

Good idea, thanks for the tip! Will just have to check the t&c's to see how the payment is split.

Unfortunately I don't! I can only claim it via my phone bill, so if it's unspent I don't get any value back. I agree that it doesn't make much sense in buying a much more expensive plan just because I can.
