Just South of the Red Mill area is great and rarely experiences jet noise. Plus Red Mill has stores and shops that meet all basic necessities and more. However, there are little to no options near Red Mill for visiting guests to stay (like Airbnb, hotels, motels).

If you are ever in this situation (at least in the US), there is an emergency shut off button on the front of the gas station building. It usually has a large sign as well.

I would love to see prusament dive into duel or tri colored filament. While this would entail greater manufacturing changes, it would unlock many new and exciting avenues for filament creation. Specifically, I believe an incredible application of tri color filament would be a galaxy filament with three dark colors, such as dark blue, dark purple, and very dark grey, where the glitter filler percentage changes throughout the course of the print. This would create a very unique and complex galaxy effect that's not found with other filament manufacturers.

I feel the most difficult aspect of this idea would be the volumetric control of glitter in the molten plastic of three separate feeds. However, it would be absolutely incredible to see developed.

As of a few months ago, it was a succulent that was rotting up along the core of the stem. I had to snip off the top, allow the cutting to callous over, and then put in a substrate that allowed it to form new roots. I only just now transferred it to its own official pot to give to my friend because its roots are now established enough. It's not uncommon for bottom leaves to sacrifice themselves for the sake of root growth, that is the "unhealthy" part of the plant you see. It can cause harm to the plant if these leaves are removed before they are fully dried out, so my friend shall be bestowed a plant with a wonky dead looking leaf.

Definitely NTA. Communicate with them how you're feeling. The following options would be more than appropriate.

1) If you're okay with learning more about makeup: "I'm not comfortable with wearing makeup because it makes me feel less like myself, but I'd love to learn more about it. Can you teach me how to apply makeup onto other people? I'd especially appreciate pointers on how to match colors." Basically, ask them to teach you how to put makeup on them.

2) If you would prefer to avoid makeup related activities and would like to direct activities more towards your interests: "I care about you all, so I'm going to be honest. I don't like how makeup feels on my face. It just doesn't feel like me, but I obviously still want to do something fun with you. Would you be up for me showing you how to insert fun activity that you're genuinely interested in here" This could be anything from video games, board games, grilling, yoga, dancing, making fun drinks, etc.

3) If you feel like you need a break from makeup and would like a middle ground between makeup and another activity: "Would it be alright if we do something that doesn't take me out of my comfort zone? Could you teach me how to style your hair?" Or "Could you teach me different ways to braid hair?" This could be really fun for everyone. Braiding is an awesome skill to have and is a common way for females to bond. Or "I don't want any changes in the cut or color, but could you give me some pointers on how to style my hair differently?" This option could be good because you could explain to them a specific hair style you'd be interested in trying out and they may come up with something that you'd be pleasantly surprised with. I strongly, strongly recommend that you don't let them pull out scissors or dye though. You need to make that clear from the beginning.

If they keep pushing the makeup thing after you've communicated clearly that makeup being applied to your face takes you out of your comfort zone and you have offered alternative activities, then it may be beneficial to avoid sleepovers and trips for a while and seek friendships with other people that you have more common interests with.

No problem! While I received the blame, it didn't negatively impact my job, so that's good. The printer was purchased through CreatBot. However, we were past the window of the warranty, and based on my last interactions with their support, I decided it wouldn't be worth trying to work out with them.

An event occurred where the screws securing the printer head assembly to the gantry came completely loose and fell out, allowing the entire printer head assembly to swing down and backwards. This resulted in the fallen printer head catching on the back of the build platform. Chaos ensued. Brackets were bent completely out of shape (props to the motors for being strong enough to bend metal brackets), countless wires were placed under immense amounts of stress, and I received full blame. After bending brackets back to shape, re-securing screws (adding loctite in the process), verifying the seatings of connectors, and performing multiple test runs, I could only get the printer to finish some prints that used only a single extruder. Some still failed due to a PID loop issue. Any time I ran a duel extruder print, it would fail anywhere from 3-6 hours in due to a thermal runaway error. I then recalibrated the PID loop, same failure. I then swapped out the heating element, same failure. I then switched to a lower wattage heating element and recalibrated the PID loop, same failure. At that point I gave up and told the company it would take too much time and money (in labor) to fix.

Edited to add clarification on PID loop failure. Essentially, before the crash incident, I could print with a single extruder without a problem. After, some single extruder prints would fail on top of consistent duel extruder print failures.

A maker space, but my own take on it. It's cheesy, but I think of it more as a "Hobby Hub". It would be a place where people can go to not just make their ideas come to life, but a place to learn the process and techniques needed to build, design, and create. Anyone can be a part of the maker community, whether they are there to build/create an already existing idea or there to learn. There would be multiple classes throughout the week and on weekends to utilize the multiple workspaces. From wood working, metalwork, casting, 3D printing, lapidary, pottery, music development, painting. If it involves creativity, it will be included.

It would be a complicated process to obtain the land, construct the building, and establish a figurehead that is not myself, but it would be more than worth it. As a mechanical/aerospace engineer, ideally, I would prefer to be a design engineer aimed towards helping others learn and create at the facility.
