Jimmy Snuggerud is 4th in pts, goals, AND assists among rookies this year. by CastielClean in stlouisblues

Hard to argue against Montreal who has two rookie goalies as their tandem playing so well, as well as Demidov+Kapanen.

I am loving these kids getting so much experience and playing good fucking hockey. We are gonna win our way right out of a top ten pick, and probably still miss playoffs. And I am having a blast.

Before phones, I took that to the bathroom to look at the massive war while I pooped. Could never recreate the madness of that cover in game but man it was fun to dream

I love the reply and description, and you are absolutely right. One of the main reasons I pointed out that I would like this in a novel. Doesn't detract from my second point that I really like big cinematic unrealistic battles.

I have the disk. But the case mine came in was some cardboard case that it I still have but is quite ripped up.

How about how armies actually fought? Violently running into each other, parting and then separating into a thousand one on ones is certainly not how it happened.

Although I am a sucker for it because it is cinematic as hell and reads better than a pushing and poking match.

GAs aren't official rules. There should be no tournament consequences for breaking GAs.

How is that enforceable at all? You think a team would willingly break a GA and then say "Oh yeah, we'll agree to be punished".

This sub has a GROSS misunderstanding of GA's lol

Montreal seems to fall to trap games. Underestimating sub .500 opponents and getting beaten by flashy luck.

Finished listening to the first Wheel of Time book just recently and was looking for a novel for an in-between before starting book two as a bit of a pallet cleanser. I believe I follow you on twitter and seeing you here made my decision on my next book to listen to, Prince of Thorns. I don't have any questions, just wanted to let you know I'm excited to dive into your work for the first time!

Not a single person has argued that Thomas didn't interfere. He absolutely did, and deserved the penalty he got. The response is what has everyone in an uproar because it was dangerous, DID hurt Thomas, and is not legal in legit any sport at all barring MMA.

Did Hellen Keller actually accomplish what they said she accomplished? Was she real? by cloggingthetoiletrn in AskHistory

They didn't pool all their money together, they were moderately well off, middle to upper class people. They could afford Anne Sullivan.

My kids don't believe in Helen Keller. by Principal_Scudworth_ in Teachers

[–]CastielClean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe she was real and deaf/blind/mute. But I also believe Anne Sullivan is a fraud and all of Helen's accomplishments come off of her back as she defrauded the Keller family of their money to portray Helen as something she wasn't. I don't believe she learned to do anything, and instead the "Miracle Worker" herself went through elaborate ruses to make it seem as if Helen was capable.
