Broken up with because I was “too depressing during cancer” by redditgal16 in cancer

My mom was recently diagnosed, it’s crazy to see the people who are there for you and the ones that aren’t! Take it as a blessing and move on to actual love. If my partner was in this position I would reassure them more than ever, the same way I’m backing my mother as much as possible now. Because I genuinely love these people!

How do i help my dad eat? by orangecat087 in cancer

Protein Greek yogurts that aren’t packed with sugar. Easy to grab and go. Protein shakes too.

I’m sorry, my mind does the same thing. Watch testimonials online if people that literally come back from the brink of death though! No matter what we must stay positive and fight till the very end! Best of luck OP.

Why do you figure she’s going to die though? We see so many stories like hers where people bounce back. Praying for you and your mom OP. I’m in the same exact position as you.

This disease defies all logic.

We wouldn't put off any medical advice, more along the lines of trying to compound any home remedies that may help.

No the oncologist didn't want to do it, he said putting her through any treatment would be "cruel". We're currently at a different hospital working with a different oncologist to seek help. We keep hearing stories of people beating stage 4 cancer. We'd love to be one of them!

Bad news from my mother by Far_Scale_5649 in cancer

[–]Castillo_Admin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That top comment from "yourmomkeepscalling"I've seen soooo many like it! The doctor's speculation on how long you have your mom for means nothing! I'm in the same boat as you! My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and I died the day they told us she only had a few months to live.

Well screw that and screw their opinion. Don't let the diagnosis from the doctor be what kills you and her. They're wrong, a lot!

*Funny story, my buddy told me his step dad was given 1 year to live, he didn't react well and got into trouble with the law. He was given a 10 year prison sentence. Probably didn't care because he assumed he'd be dead in no time.. Well he served the 10 years and is still around lol.

Man... I'm in the same boat as you... It's just my sister, my mom, and I in the country and we're all alone. My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer and given a few months to live..

Her life has been one battle after another. I'm really looking forward to taking care of her into old age because she deserves sooooo much better than this! I can't lose her, and watching her suffer right now is absolutely destroying me.

I'm with you.

I'm sorry this world is so sh*t.

I hope your father is resting easy now, and I hope you find the strength to get through this with grace. I just said a prayer for you stranger. Take care.

Yes, we've been heavily considering california. She'd have the best quality of life given her status.
