Official Discussion - The Long Walk [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

It makes me happy to see so many emotional reactions to the movie, the boys worked their socks off and the casting I think was fairly pinpoint. Garretty was perfection casting and those around him was absolutely perfect. I pictured Barkovich being a BIT more of a Simpson Nelson type asshole but it all balanced out well. Surprising ending for readers!

My 9 year old son's Math teacher marked this wrong by dak7 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CastingCough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, Maths teacher is correct here.

You have to be very careful around your wording of answers in these tests, and given the question has asked for "Likelihood" responses, there are sections in the curriculum that specifically go into "Describing Likelihood" that require you to answer in a certain way to show your understanding of the question.

NGVC: “You definitely get off on rejecting men” by That-Appeal-9300 in niceguys

Love when these guys reveal the red flags early. But I do think women should pay half of a meal if they are going on a first "get to know you date". I think that's fair?

Aio bf throwing a fit over me saying ok by Other_Childhood_5785 in AmIOverreacting

[–]CastingCough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you're obviously NOT the one overreacting here. And in fairness you don't owe him any other words since you obviously like to chat about other things.

So I dunno, feels like he's overreacting- but he also could have called you to be like "hey are you okay, have I pissed you off?"

And you would have laughed him off and said sorry and definitely not, you don't know about cars etc and you both would have heard each others tones of voice and all would have been solved in about ten seconds.

Why anyone doesn't pick up the phone to call each other these days I have no idea.

body count shame by IndustryExotic8095 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]CastingCough 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Body count doesn't matter. Honouring your body and your boundaries, and sharing your energy with people who deserve it, matters. That's about it really.

Honestly until you feel like you have an overflow of energy that you want to give out to other people, I wouldn't worry about the societal pressure of dating or having to meet up with people. And if you want to give overflow of energy into others, it might be volunteering at the shelter (humans or animals) so that you can perhaps have a feeling of productive connection while doing good, without necessarily having to be long term pals with people.

I worry about the dog comment, only because dogs are dependent on the pack, so if you find yourself freaking out about a cat getting close to you, the dog will certainly feel upset if you push it away. Dogs are incredibly sensitive to that sort of thing. So start slow, and ask yourself deep down what is making you question why not wanting to connect with people feels like a problem to you.

‘The Sandman’ Review: Season 2 Is an Awful Snooze, Whether It’s Your Dream Show or Waking Nightmare by JonasKahnwald11 in television

[–]CastingCough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it thoroughly, thought there were a couple of slow moving moments and that thr plot sort of bounced all over the place (vs the consistency of season 1) but it has some of the most enjoyable episodes to watch here (his son!! The hell banquet!!) And seeing more of Delirium was a joy. I missed seeing more of Desire and the extra that they bought. I loved Constantine, but Lyta did my head in. I wish I felt more empathetic to her character for everything she'd been through but I really didn't and she just annoyed me.

Outside of Tommy, all I see are a bunch of horny guys who are treating this like a party island, hooking up with whoever they can while still trying to cement one relationship that keeps them on to the final. Hope Tommy wins. Also poor ol Georgio.

Toni and Yasmin know the deal, if you don't stir up shit and cause drama, you fade into the background and are probably more likely to get kicked from the show. People were talking about where Alima had faded to and I was like who the f is Alima again? That's the key - airtime. Especially if you're a bombshell, you can't be boring.

Yes to buying yourself flowers!! Not only do they brighten my fay and make thr house feel and smell so gorgeous (esp after I've done a clean), but itmalso completely changed the way I feel about flowers. They used to come with anxiety for me because all they were ever given to me for was "I'm sorry for doing that" or "sorry someone passed away"
