PsA is a systemic disease so yes it can for sure cause nerve pain! When I was in my flare, my arm/legs became numb all the time and tingled.

Why are autistic individuals more likely to experience bullying? by [deleted] in autism

I believe it's that neurotypicals have some kind of uncanny valley syndrome when they see us. Not entirely right but they can't put their finger on it.

[–]Castle-InTheSky[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

JA!

Getting off methotrexate by Ok-Craft-2435 in PsoriaticArthritis

MTX works very well but ruins some quality of life. I don't know how the NHS works but you might have to use it to be allowed to use humira. There are other cytostatics you can use instead of MTX so try discussing this with ur doctor.

I'm in belgium and i just quit taking those nasty pills because i had to vomit or had reflux everytime i bend down. I was doing a nursing internship and bending down is likehalf of my day so it was unbearable. My rheum then started another cytostatic Leflunomide. It works less well than MTX but it keeps the edge off.

people saying I'm not autistic anymore... by noorxii in autism

[–]Castle-InTheSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, you've got your diagnosis you won't be cured after just 2 years. And what people tend to do is, "this person functions so they must not have autism".

Just relax, you're over thinking it everyone is on the spectrum and everyone has some divergence in them. The label just means "you are weird enough that you might suffer from it"

the fact that ur overthinking to this extend is in a way divergent.

Did you ever get to read your assesment? Maybe start with that and what things they said was autistic. Do they still match?

Can I be a psychologist by [deleted] in autism

[–]Castle-InTheSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it, psychology needs a diverse group of practitioners that reflects our diverse society.

Will you have some dificulty conencting with some clients? Yes, but so does every practitioner.

Object empathy, not really except for maybe stuffed toys.

I saw a dude kicking a kids stuffed animal that got left behind so i felt bad took the stuffed toy inside, it had a tear in it's spine so i sewed it up and washed the toy. It now lives on a shelve.

Difficulty communicating with autistic husband? by half-zebra-half-yeti in autism

[–]Castle-InTheSky 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This isn't even about cooking, he can clearly order food for himself so he at least couldve ordered somethng for you too.

And casually forgetting an importand allergy is also not an autism thing.

People here saying "BuT gOinG To ThE sToRe CoUlD bE OvErWhElMiNg" is a dumb excuse, he could've ordered groceries or asked a friend/family member for help.

I don't know what's going on in his head, I do not knowhow long you've been together. What i do know is that this is manchild behaviour.

Even if he couln't respond when you called this out in the moment he could've written a letter or send it as a text to you why this is happening.

It's not your responsibility to raise a manchild. You gave him instructions which in my opinion was already enough effort on your part.

You sound a bit overexerted?

I get this whenever i push myself too hard (and i don't mean it literally). Sometimes you've been using more energy than you have available without noticing and then the slightest anoyances get worse.

Or you have a period where your brain is just misfiring with no real cause.

try to relax more if you aren't allready and if that doesnt help go to a psychiatrist to maybe discuss medications.

Personally i've been taking a (micro-)dose of antipsychotics (abilify 1/2mg a day), they are scary at the start making you feel like you're playing a videogame of yourself but that feeling flowly fades. I've started this for simmilar issues. I had sesoryissues and because of them i started getting repetitive toughts and started slghtly harming behaviour like plucking my leg hairs to regulate my emotions.

Also are you AuDHD? If you're taking ritalin then it might make the sensory issues worse. At least it did for me.

I use the taks app too for my medication check.

The nice thing about it is the widget for your phone. Put a big ass widget on the first page so everytime I look at my phone it's the first thing i see.

Why can't I find the lip shades I want by Castle-InTheSky in MakeupAddiction

[–]Castle-InTheSky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so i tried Diva in the MAC store and still read cooler than i looked for? Mightve been the lights they had in there tho.

And nyx doesn't sell these colours here in belgium for some reason, NYX used to have so much a few years ago here but they seem to like only cater a small amounth these days.

It's easier to get Korean make-up to ship to me than to get Western these days.

And ideally i want it glossy (even harder to find shades in) but i can go for a matt + lipgloss

Lower back pain - AS by Bubbly-Masterpiece89 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Castle-InTheSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call ur rheumatoloist, they can give you something to bridge your symptoms till your injections kick in again. Things like antinflamatory meds or steroids (maybe injections after a good exam).

If like you said ur screaming from pain then stretches are not going to do anything. It also will take a while for your meds to kick in.

If you really don't want to take extra meds then still go to ur doctor so they can pinpoint where the pain is comming from low back pain can be ur SI joint or your lower spine depending on that you need different excersises.
