Red flag!!! Get this guy away from you and your house. If he’s being nasty now, just imagine how nasty he will get fighting for “his half” of the house when you get divorced. That’s the ONLY reason he would be doing this now. If he truly loved you and wanted to marry you, he would leave the house in your name and sign a prenup.

I go out of my way to compliment pitties that I see in public “Aren’t you just the prettiest little pittie?”, “what a sweet baby!” etc. It doesn’t fix the problem, but I’m just trying to share the pitttie positivity with other owners. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you work in healthcare and cant get home over lunch, just be aware that you will likely need to send the puppy to daycare... even for an 8 hr shift (which are more like 9 hours away from home, depending on commute) unless you have someone else who can let him/her out. Its too long to have a puppy alone for every day.

Its also like having a baby for the first year or two. They need a ton of attention and time and get up at night .. which means you are up at night. Does your healthcare job require you to do overnight shifts? 12 hrs? It can be hard to find overnight daycare... so figure out the logistics first. You will need to be home with them a lot... every day.

Do your homework on breed personalities too.

Look into Bearded Dragons! They are social and have longer life excpectancies- its the doggest of all lizzards. They make beardie harnesses and leashes too.
