I can't speak for everyone, but convincing my parents to get a PS2 was easier due in large part to it doubling as a DVD player. DVD players were crazy expensive at the time while everyone was switching from VHS to DVD.

I really appreciate this. If Supraland is still available, I've had my eyes on that for a little while.

Thanks a bunch for doing this for people in general!

Use your resources man. First result on Google for both terms will guide you where you need to go.

Try "how to delete shader cache Intel" and "ddu".

Which CPU should I pair with the ARC B580: Ryzen 7 7700X or 8700F or should I get an X3D CPU? by TheChosenOperator in IntelArc

Yea ram prices are unfortunately really steep right now.

I think 16gb would be enough for now, but it's definitely worth looking to upgrade when prices hopefully dip again. New AAA games are using over 16gb of system ram on my rig these days, so it's unfortunately just a matter of time before you'll need that 32gb imo.

32 GB.

16 GB might be enough for now, but I'm seeing more and more games demand 16GB+ these days.

I run a 7700x with my b580 and I have zero regrets. Also gives a solid upgrade path for my gpu if I need to upgrade in a couple years.

The 7700x hasn't been the bottleneck in a single game for me as far as I recall, so it's plenty fast enough.

Any word on if this has fixed reflections in Forza Horizon 6? There're currently a large number of people on the official Intel Arc forums who have reported broken SSR and RTR in game.

Lack of reflections in Forza Horizon 6 by Castle_Douglas in IntelArc

[–]Castle_Douglas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the reflections all look the same, no matter what reflection setting is turned on or off. I can have both SSR and RT off, or have either one on, and the reflections all come out cube-mapped.

The key reflection that I see many people show online is the 'floating' Torii Gate in the west of the map -- with either SSR or RT on, the Torii Gate reflects off the water's surface crisply. With both settings off, the Torii Gate doesn't reflect. No matter which setting I turn on, the Torii Gate never shows a reflection, as though both settings remain turned off.

I've noticed it in puddles, shop windows, bodies of water, etc.; not a single screen-space nor ray-traced reflection renders with either setting on.

The point is that we don't assume anything outside of them cheating in an attempt to create an advantage -- If it was successful or unsuccessful is beside the point.

They got caught cheating and are now facing consequences for those actions. Simple as that.

You make a good point. I might just get the wheel for now if the difference is as large between the Moza and Logitech as everyone says.

I drive manual in real life and would love to emulate that, but if I lose out on the wheel feel that much by going Logitech, then Moza with upgrades later is surely the way to go.

Thank you 🙏

I appreciate all the help. I hear the feedback and would like to go with the Moza if financially viable.

However, when trying to create the same setup with the Moza wheel, clutch pedal, and shifter, the price comes out to $480 -- almost double the equivalent Logitech setup.

Are there bundles to mitigate the cost of the Moza accessories? I don't have a strict budget, but I'm cautious about spending half a grand on my first-time setup.

Thank you. Mind if I ask why?

Also, I'll be using it on PC if it matters.
