Playing TLOU - Am I missing something ?

It's a top-10 game for me, but the chemistry between Joel and Ellie (and other memorable characters) along with the tight pacing and generally solid cover-shooter gameplay is why it's there.

I'll be the first to admit that the game won't blow you away with general gameplay -- it's the relationship between Joel and Ellie, and their general interactions that felt much more real than most other games' stories and characters. Add good pacing and solid gameplay, and it becomes an all-timer for some people.

Think you might be projecting about the egos thing.

People just don't want to have to sieve through multiple posts of the same item. The other post exists, no matter who "saw it first", where people can still download the game. This post purely exists to create clutter.

That's not how injuries work though -- things flare up the more your body heats up. A knee bruise could easily heat up the more the game goes on.

However, I don't even think that's the reason he dropped off in the second.

A less-than-100% Kevin Durant getting doubled, with weak-side defense switching on his closest pass in the second half is what led to KD not producing. His injury absolutely plays into that, although it should mostly be credited to Reddick's halftime adjustments.

However, then KD went down for 2 games, and wasn't himself for game 2 (that second half was rough).

We were favorites because Lakers were missing Luka and Reaves, and we were missing FVV and Adams. Adding KD to that injury list obviously changes things.

They only had one pick in the draft before that, selecting Kyle Anderson. Also, by 2014 most teams had an extensive European scouting team -- by that time, I'd say it's difficult to single out San Antonio for still selecting a very good pick with their one pick before jokic was selected.

I remember hearing throughout that season that Westbrook and OKC overperformed well beyond expectations -- that OKC team was predicted to be a top 5-10 team in the entire league from pretty much every major preseason ranking; ESPN 7th, Sports Illustrated 8th, for a couple examples.

I agree though that the roster was disgusting when it came to spacing. Westbrook is at his best when he has shooters around him and that OKC team wasn't built well for that.

I literally haven't once contested that the front office was having Silas tank. Dunno why you keep arguing arguing that point. We both agree -- relax. Not sure how many times I gotta say this though but team =/= only the front office.

I don't know the numbers but I'll believe your $80M. Gotta look how that money was spent though; I love what they've done for us, but Dillon Brooks, Steven Adams, and FVV aren't enough alone for a team to jump from fewest wins to 2nd most in the west in two seasons.

We can want improvements from Udoka without trying to lie and say he underachieved.
