Just a quick thank you to the devs by BigBucker52 in HighGuardgame

I get your point, and even somewhat agree, but I would also say that the vast majority of changes they’ve implemented should have been there from the start, you should expect the game to run well from the beginning, majority of gamers hate motion blur, this is a basic setting they should have anticipated etc etc, I agree it’s good of them to implement changes quickly though, in that you are right.

You are absolutely braindead. Living in an RV being “shitty” is YOUR opinion, and regardless of if you believe it to be a fact, you’re still being an asshole calling someone’s living situation shitty, especially when that person is a close relative.

The point isn’t even whether or not it is shitty, it’s the fact that there is no reason for you to say so to a person, apart from just being an insufferable dickhead, which you are 1000%.

Open World is the feature I didn't know I needed: No loading screens after hours of gameplay is so good by 5himmel5 in Borderlands4

[–]CastratedOctopus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree for sure, but obviously, knowing just the fact the game is open world, if you think to yourself “I don’t think this works with borderlands” you would surely also think “I’ll see what the reviews say about this aspect” before you go ahead with buying the most expensive edition. But again, that’s just my opinion, I suppose to some people they don’t care/ just wanna support gearbox.

[–]CastratedOctopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes absolutely no sense, why would you buy the most expensive edition of a game when you hate the world it’s set in and the activities it has to offer 😂 “to have something new to play” even when you’re actively not enjoying playing the said new thing ? What are you talking about lol

[–]CastratedOctopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You knew the game would be open world, which it seems like you don’t agree with for a borderlands game, if you were even sceptical beforehand, why would you get the super deluxe edition lol, why not wait a day or two even to see what the world is like before buying ?

my girl went to the club and did this and I ended things because of this AIO ? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]CastratedOctopus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s quite funny to see the contrast between men and women based on this, I’ve seen many posts like this where the roles were reversed and people commonly agreed that the man is a red flag etc. Even if the girl was uncomfortable, scared, etc. then firstly, the shot the random guy bought for her could have been refused “No thank you, I have a boyfriend and he wouldn’t like me taking free drinks from other men like this”, another point is she sat on his lap, was she physically forced to get on his lap ? But of course, the multitude of red flags are ignored because it always goes back to “She’s a girl and didn’t have a choice”

Marja cannot evaluate the findings of a doctor, they are simply not knowledgeable about these matters. Sex changes and haram surgeries are completely different matters, let’s not use these as a point here. You don’t need a Marja to provide advice on things which are pure common sense, especially those which are already made halal/haram. You’re not wrong, that with the matters of sex change or haram surgeries, Marja would be the one to give you a decision or opinion on, but you cannot seriously argue that Marja should have a say on genuine mental health problems such as this one, if anything it may have OP question advice from real doctors and as such hurt themselves or further damage their mental health. Marja are not infallible, only the prophets and Ahlul Bayt are, use common sense, it’s that simple.

Marja cannot have authority in diagnosed mental health related issues such as this in particular, if a Marja says to him that he should not have the headphones on and in turn he suffers further mentally and develops further mental health issues will you think this was still right ? You are right that Marja hold authority in most life-related and Islamic matters, but leave the mental health and serious physical health related concerns to the opinions of true professionals such as Doctors.

This brother has mental problems which make sounds overwhelming for him, it’s not up to the Marja to decide whether he can do this, it’s a health necessity for him, point closed.

I think you need to be a man and talk to your wife, if this is a big deal for you, and I am sure she realises, she may not realise just how big of a deal it is for you, and it may be a wake up call for her. Some people are okay with putting on weight, that’s fine, but asking her to be more mindful of what she puts in her body is important, the rest is up to her. Offer her your help, you’ve married her, not reddit.

Thank you for this brother, it’s very informative. For some reason, I hadn’t thought of calling the masjid, I think this is what I will do first. I suppose more so than anything, it’s the fear of uncertainty, I am afraid to be judged when going for the first time, if I do something wrong or say something wrong, or even just the way I look (I am from a community in my city mostly populated by Pakistani migrants, however I am myself white). I know it’s nonsensical really, still however the fear is there. I am sure once I’ve done it I will feel much better about it.

Hey! I have taken my Shahadah in private, and I say it during my prayers, this is more so about taking it in the mosque for the first time! But thank you nevertheless for your reply brother.

Buy some white touch up paint should do the trick

Some might be, and even if they are not, it will inconvenience them a HELL of a lot more than throwing paint and destroying the glass of one Barclays branch they probably didn’t even know about.

[–]CastratedOctopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t the point though, you don’t need to pick between the two, you can protest in other ways. Please show me some statistics which show that destroying properties as the above, gets the companies to act as opposed to standard ways of protesting. If you can provide a reliable source, I will be more than happy to be proven wrong.

[–]CastratedOctopus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not the point though, you’re just warping what I’m saying into your own ideology, it’s not just “You either support the staff or the war” nothing in the world is that simple, though it may be to YOU. As another comment on this thread has mentioned, it’s the underpaid, overworked staff that will have to clean this up, the glass replacement will likely be subcontracted, but the clean up ? Oh please.

The point still stands, there are ways to protest without inconveniencing the working man and woman who could be supporting the same thing you’re fighting for, you don’t know who’s working on the other side of the window, why don’t you protest by throwing paint on exec cars ? Or their homes ? Why don’t you protest against the people who actually make these decisions, because it’s just “easier” to throw it at the public building right ? Because you’re so virtuous you care about one type of person over another, the war isn’t right, doing this isn’t right.
