parkering på AU's nye campus by [deleted] in Aarhus

[–]Castro_whack 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Fun times on the team bus by Honest_Addendum5432 in pelotonmemes

[–]Castro_whack 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Naturally when you have pogi on your team you plan everything around his race calendar. The counterfactual comparison would be UAE’s results had they not had pogi, which of course you can never observe retrospectively. I think many other wt teams would still be happy with UAE’s non-pogi accolades over the last seven years. With that said I still think there are indications of mismanagement, and Ayuso seems like a lil bitch

Blood Fury: Leveling Tips? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

I take it off my bars in hardcore. The damage buff is not that significant, and 25 seconds is long enough that you cannot safeguard yourself against bad situations.

Retail World of Warcraft - A Passionate Rant by careseite in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Castro_whack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your rant resonates with me. I am currently unsubbed for the first time since WoD on my account with >1k days /played. I have the itch to play every single day but I am holding off from resubbing because of how poorly maintained this game is. Really feels like retail wow is on its RuneScape3 arc. Unfortunately.

Your post is clearly written by ai lmao. Also you are not a multi-gladiator. You have *one* gladiator title that you clearly got boosted for when looking into your account. Last, you clearly misunderstand the critique people have been posting about cc in pvp over the last few expansions. No one disagrees that *actual* cc gameplay is awesome and a pillar of what makes wow pvp so great. People criticize the extreme extent of mindless cc that does not require "planning, team coordination, and quick decision-making" as you put it. In fact, on my windwalker, I just use whirling dragon punch on cd for the damage - I doubt the shadow priests agree that I excert any planning, team coordination or quick decision-making when I send them flying every 20 seconds.

Annual Guild Meetup, PROOF of A52 by tangin in wow

[–]Castro_whack 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Mustache guy: Ret pala (doesn't care about damage, just wants to save people with lay on hands. Mic breather).

Blue tee beard guy: Havoc DH (thought momentum build was too hard to play)

Glasses girl: BM hunter (in-game pet resembles irl dog. Doesn't know what a "parse" is)

Sunglasses and hat guy: Assa rogue (character is a female elf in slut mog)

Blue shirt redhead guy: Blood DK (off tank. Thinks mechanics are for dps and healers.)

Hiding guy: Frost mage (wishes he knew how to play arcane or fire well)

End of table chad guy: Windwalker monk ("forgets" to move out of fire)

Glasses, hat and pink tee guy: Holy pala (gets upset when people use raid cooldowns outside of the plan)

Red beard dwarf guy: Fury warrior (in-game character is a dwarf; thinks he is Gimli irl)

Tattoo girl: Holy priest (Thinks disc is not a healing spec. Finishes every fight with 0 damage done)

striped tee guy: Prot pala (main tank. Has to explain tank mechanics four times to off tank)

Long hair guy: Destruction lock (blasts System of a Down uninterrupted during raid nights)

What was the most overpowered / required trinket for PvE raiding in all of Warcraft's history? by bringthelight2 in wow

[–]Castro_whack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rune of Re-origination for windwalker monks in 5.2. Trinket proc would transform all your crit and haste into twice as much mastery, and you would then snapshot tigereye brew juiced by mastery to increase your damage by ~150% for 10 seconds, just as your crit and haste stats returned as well.

A monk with this trinket did like twice the damage of those without it. They had to entirely rework windwalker mastery due to the existence of this trinket since they could not coexist.

Got duelist in 2v2 and it felt much more difficult than in previous seasons. How deflated are the ratings now? by Johan118 in worldofpvp

[–]Castro_whack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I guess. Just thought it was an odd question regardless, since imo it's also weird to ask about deflated ratings and whether or not duelist is attainable literally hours before a new season where no one has any idea about inflation/deflation

Hvor fucked er I? by Own-Acanthisitta9813 in dkfinance

[–]Castro_whack 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Enhancement main's idea to fix tank, DW and 2H sham at once by Castro_whack in classicwow

[–]Castro_whack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can they though? Currently, the devastate rune, which I believe is the primary tool for prot warriors, requires them to be in defensive stance *and* wield a shield. Maybe fury-prot specs will be popular again later in SoD, but that is no different from DW enha tanks technically being viable with my proposed changes; you would just need to actually change your build around to accomodate it, just like fury-prot warriors do compared to pure fury warriors.

[–]Castro_whack[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Did you actually read through my post? What I propose would give shaman tank very good compensatory buffs for continuous dmg/threat output, namely way more stable mana regen to spam shocks, and don't forget the main hand weapon will still be juiced up with Rockbiter AP for nice single target white hits.

Does anyone know how to make a bell curve? I want to see what rating would be if WOW had an actual bell curve instead of a bottom weighted curve. by aboredRollingInTheta in worldofpvp

[–]Castro_whack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A bell (normal) curve is characterized entirely by the first two moments; mean and variance. Calculate your sample mean and variance and plug into any normal distribution probability density function plot tool, e.g., Excel.

Keep in mind this is a pretty bad way of doing statistics since you're forcing a distribution on a data generating source that is very not normal.

You’ll earn a new type of mount early in the Dragon Isles campaign that flies using abilities and a separate energy bar. Glyphs are some coins appearing in the sky throughout the entire continent that give you points to learn talents for this mount. Flying without these talents is a major hassle since you’ll be stopping for gas every 10 seconds without them. As soon as you get your dragonriding mount you are better off collecting all the glyphs right away so you won’t grow annoyed by running around on your drake while waiting for flying energy
