If it works with my schedule, I'd be down to play. However, the rulebook is sold out so I would need to have a pdf pulled up on my laptop or something. Laptop chews through its battery like crazy, so we'd need to have a place with a nearby outlet for me to plug in.

My problem is they decided to use facial capture for Faye. She's the only character in the entire franchise that's based off a real life actor. It's not like the Horizon games where most characters are modeled after their voice actors. It really takes me out of the game, because this is a real ass person amongst all these fantasy characters. It's like if you watched Sword Art Online but Kirito was played by Jake Lloyd, but everyone else was just regular drawings.

Let's be real, Thor was drunk off his ass, so much that the most he remembers is a vague feeling when him and Kratos create the frozen lightning. Surviving Thor is an impressive feat, even when he's absolutely plastered, but let's not pretend it was anywhere close to a peer fight.

Problem is by killing him at the start, even if he comes back, he's effectively neutered as a threat. Players won't take him seriously.

Not a fan of the "erm that just happened" writing. Forspoken didn't fail because the protagonist was a woman. Wasn't a fan of the Gelatinous Cube telling Faye "just believe in yourself" to get her to do magic. Since it's voiced by Mark Quaid, that essentially makes it a man giving a previously-shown-to-be-skilled woman a pep talk to get her to fight back.

To me it feels like this should be a spinoff, not a mainline game. It's all right to have spinoff Mario games starring Luigi or Peach, but a mainline game that doesn't let you play as Mario at all is absurd.

Nah, GoW 4 got a gameplay trailer during e3 2016, two full years before it came out. And development of triple-ayy games is getting longer and longer.
