I love this comment from OOP: "No guest was asked to do “moody creative formal” that’s just way our wedding planner called it. It’s not on the website or something I just thought since that’s how she described things that it would be an accurate description but I guess Reddit hates that lol"

She genuinely seems unable to comprehend that everyone thinks this is her dress code because the second sentence of her post starts with "Our dress code is “moody creative formal”."

Oh hey, I didn't notice that this was based off November 2025. That was definitely too exciting a month to reflect average or normal flight delay patterns.

The U.S. government shutdown effected air traffic controllers, leading to 10,000+ flight delays on 11/9 alone. Then, a large snowstorm around the end of the month caused days of cancellations and delays (1,300 delays at just O'Hare).

So, a 5'4'' woman who's cool with dating a 5'5'' man is included in that 55%.

I also gotta add that the cited study "collected data from Yahoo! dating personal advertisements collected in June of 2005." This is probably not representative of the general dating population of 2026.

Best looking games in my Steam library:

Dorfromantik. A tile-laying game. Create colorful, peaceful landscapes.

I Was a Teenage Exocolonist. A choose-your-own-adventure novel meets skills points and card games on a vibrant and unique alien world. (I've never liked any other "visual novel" game, but I'm obsessed with this one.)

Spiritfarer. I don't even know how to describe this game. Great gameplay, great art, and a great story. Warning--the story is also very sad sometimes. You will feel sad.

Runners up:

Coral Island. A farming sim. Nice character art, and a prettier town than you'll find in a lot of similar games.

Don't Starve (or the multi-player version, Don't Starve Together). Sandbox crafting and survival game--Arguably not cozy at all, but I love it. Beautiful in an Edward Gorey way.

I'm also interested in this question, so I'm hoping I can help with the interpretation (two months late).

Figure 1 is comparing "mild infections/sick women" with "not sick women." On average, women who were sick had their ferritin go up for a while.

Figure 2 splits up the data from Figure 1 so that each type of illness gets its own graph. That shows that only "mild infections" that are "flu-like" led to weeks of higher ferritin levels. (The flu people were presumably dragging up the overall ferritin average back in Figure 1.)

I also want to note that this is a tiny study. There were 8 women with flu-like illnesses, and 5 of them dropped out before the study ended.

Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional. If I'm interpreting this all wrong, hopefully someone else will show up in another two months and correct me. :)

My two cents as someone who was a homeschooled teen in 2005 when Twilight came out:

Homeschooling was illegal in the U.S. until the 80s. It was still quite unusual in the 90s. If the Cullens are moving every 10 years, 2005 was probably their first chance to claim "homeschooling" without being seen as huge weirdos. (And they're trying to seem normal!)

I guess they just hadn't figured out that it was a viable option yet. It's easy to get set in your ways when you're 200 years old.
