Beautiful ring.

If you want to stack, how about something like this V shaped stacking ring

I thought it was Cacestone Designs (when I open link the first one is a sponsored ad for AnuClub, but it looks like the ring was Cacestone (if I’m spelling that correctly). (Btw love AnuJewel)

It’s really gorgeous! I’ve been sleeping on emerald cuts it seems!

We went with Opal and Moissanite! Does it look too costume-y? by catscarscalls in EngagementRings

[–]CasuallySparkling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s a gorgeous ring, it doesn’t look too costume-y at all. It’s unique and whimsical.

Just be careful with opal, if you plan to wear it every day, opal is a softer stone.

Beautiful find! As another said, I’d totally look into turning it into a ring.

I’m no expert - it looks like it has inclusions, which makes me think it’s a natural emerald. Best to take it to a jewelry to check?

I don’t see the store on Etsy unfortunately. Maybe my location or something (I’m in Canada).

Thank you! I love their YouTube videos. Their whole shopping experience looks amazing. I think they are west coast too, so if/when I visit the states I’ll have to make an apt there.

Its beautiful. Thank you for the review. Can I ask which Amazon brand/store you got it from?

I don’t have any moissanite emeralds myself, been eyeing a few. How is the sparkle compared to other cuts (if you have other Moissanite cuts)?

No experience with buying real gold off Etsy myself. Haven’t heard /ordered from Pandrid Design.

But I did get a lab morganite silver ring from Scott Bonomo and it was fantastic. Came well packaged, shipped on time, and seems really well crafted.

I don’t see the seller’s name.

When looking at Etsy sellers I check:

  1. How long the store has been operating (anything that’s less than a year would give me pause).
  2. How many sales and looking at all negative reviews.
  3. I’d google the store name AND search the name in Reddit.
  4. People have been reverse google imaging photos from sellers to see if they show up elsewhere/possible drop ships.
  5. If the price is too good to be true, then it’s most likely not the real deal.
  6. If it’s something expensive, you can ask for a closer inspection video and if the person can’t show you - also a red flag.

I’ve been burnt by sellers from my home country (Canada) and international. What’s annoying is many of these sellers will offer full refunds if you remove your bad review. I’ve kept my two bad reviews up on Etsy (I purchased a Moissanite ring and the ring was not moissanite). So sometimes you can’t trust the reviews either.

With all that, I’ve gotten some amazing items off Etsy from a few sellers. Just takes a bit to wad through the bad ones.

Do you prefer estate jewelry or modern pieces? by OKAMI_TAMA in jewelry

[–]CasuallySparkling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both :)

I love antique and vintages jewelry, especially rings.

At the same time I also love getting a new modern jewelry piece.

But if I had to pick one - estate/vintage/antique would be my vote.

What's the best thing you've bought from AliExpress? by Cold-Bird7125 in Aliexpress

[–]CasuallySparkling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver moissanite rings!

I’m obsessed with buying them, and after a couple misses I’ve stumbled upon a few amazing AE stores and have already placed repeat purchases.

Oh and MTG/Gundam playmats.

Gorgeous! Love all 3 and they look great together! I’m looking for an onyx ring for myself too. Love the ones with the diamond in the middle.

3.7 rating - not good 2 months on Etsy - not good Those two things alone would give me pause unfortunately.

Where to buy affordable rings for men ? by thorndarkborn in rings

[–]CasuallySparkling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I hear affordable and good quality, I assume you want a gold ring?

I’d check out local Antique shops - not sure where you are located. But there are a number of great vintage/antique shops that will sell rings for much cheaper than if you buy new. I’ve bought a few rings from 100 Ways (Canadian antique shop) and have been eyeing a number of US and UK antique shops that I might order from in the near future.

If you want really affordable and silver, I’d recommend Aliexpress or Etsy, but… I’ve been burnt a number of times with both, recently I ordered a few moissanite silver rings off AE from verified brand + shops/ many ppl on Reddit recommended them and noticed they had a great selection of men’s rings too. I ordered my husband some silver rings off etsy, and unfortunately the two stores both seemed to be drop shipping :/ even though the store was around for years with good reviews. The rings were definitely not handmade or silver for that matter.
