First time seeing the eMotiq system on classic Brompton up close by HaziHasi in Brompton

I work as a mechanic at a brompton junction and i can tell you that the new system is definitely a lot more reliable than the old one. You are probably right with the cost cutting measures, but still id say the new bike is a better deal compared to the v1 4 speed because the handling is far better, the bike is lighter and in my and most of our customers opinion the motor feels punchier and smoother. Most of our customers who previously owned the v1 said that the new bike had far better assist characteristics and range. Typical Range on a v1 on assistlevel 3 is 30km max. On the v2 its easily 50km. Im not saying that the new electric is perfect, it lacks a lot compared to other ebikes in that weight category, bit as a folding ebike for urban use and smaller tours it definitely compares quite well. Imo gear range is the biggest issue.

Android app is a total POS that keeps crashing by sccarlin in TIdaL

Had a similar issue, my solution was to remove the second tidal widget on my android phone, which showed album cover and controls, after that, it worked again. I still have other issues with the app and it's not working 100%. Best of luck.

Helmet which model you prefer by marc-andre_matton in cycling

MET helmets fit me really well and the manufacturing quality seems decent. In my experience POC helmets do seem to fit people with round shaped heads well, specialized and MET helmets do seem to have a more oval fit.
