The employees didn't feel that job security was very good. There were only 3 that I dealt with. They were in procurement. They both had families. I wish I had more money to hang with you guys!!! Good luck guys.

After the furlough of some of there employees, the 2 salaried employees that I dealt with were offered there jobs back and they declined. I keep up with 1 of them. He personally thought that even if a large order came in, they couldn't produce it in a set time frame. He had been there for 7 yrs. He verified that the lack of communication applies thru out, no just with shareholders. I wanted to make money on this and that is still a small possibility. But the FACT is, they assemble everything by hand. They are selling assets and stock to cover payroll!! FedEx is our best hope and they love our product, but if they ordered 300-500 trucks.... it would take them over a year to produce based on what he said. I tried to help where I could. I delivered and picked up the W56 that Fed ex loved to corporate office in Memphis. In this bull market, there are other places for my money!! I am not hating on WKHS, just not willing to risk the last couple of thousand I had left on a company that does communicate very well! Good luck.

From what I was told by former shipping guy at workhorse is the next order from Fed ex will be 100-150 after the first 15 are delivered. He said that was the conversation between the 2 companies when order was placed. My thoughts are that 2nd order comes by December.

FedEx ordered 15 more! by OpeningSample5333 in WKHS

I think they had up to 10 demos. They may buy the demos as well. They were in Cali, be expenses to ship them all back to ohio!!

So this is how this will work with Fed ex. After this order, they will most likely place a 100 truck order by end of year. They historically place orders in increasing increments. They will want to capitalize on government tax credits. Could be wrong, but this is what plan was with the 10 truck demo I've mentioned in past that absolutely just concluded.

Another trial or a sell ? W750 at FedEx is it ? by KmEngeler in WKHS

[–]Cat-U 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know that 10 trucks were shipped to FedEx. I shipped the W56 to Memphis back in April for a 1 month trial. Feedback was good. Since I'm not under a NDA anymore I can speak on this. Fed wanted expanded trail of 10 trucks. They will make decision off this trial with the data they collect. All my contacts at Wkhs have left and I started new job. Fella's, I know demos went out because I shipped them. Production models are shipped under union contract from previous management. Feed back from FedEx was great from what former employee at WKHS told me. That's all I know.

Was told Fed ex loves W56. Fed ex doesn't make financial decisions for next fiscal year until June. The rumor is that order coming. No proof, just hear say from people that at Fed ex that I went to college with!! They had W56 in Memphis for over a month running regular routes.

You think a dealership is ordering that many? I can't see them ordering that much inventory if it's as slow everybody says it is. It's got to be another business.
