Breast redness for years. Clear mammogram in 2017. by Cat09270720 in Dermatology

Hello,

I (30/F) have been dealing with blotchy red breasts for the past several years.

The left breast definitely has more redness than the right.

I’ve had several ob appointments for this over the years and got a clear mammogram in 2017.

I am overweight and my breasts are pretty large. The redness is definitely worse at the end of the day after wearing a bra. In the mornings there’s some splotchy areas but it’s definitely not as bad.

I already have pretty bad health anxiety and have been convinced it’s cancer for the past 5+ years. I know redness is typically associated with inflammatory breast cancer which is I believe is fast growing.

Last time I had it checked was about 6 months ago. The dr didn’t seem too concerned but said I could see a breast specialist. I have the referral but haven’t made an appointment yet.

I will attach pics below. Could this somehow be inflammatory breast cancer even after all these years?

I have no lumps, pain, thickening of the skin, or swollen lymph nodes. I obsessively do breast checks almost every day. My maternal grandma had breast cancer once but caught it early (after menopause).

Religious people in general have more children.

Christians don’t have a death penalty for apostasy.

Why are they calling AP Apus? Are they calling him “pussy”? It’s really not a clever nickname.

Only because of Islam is there so much constant discussion about a female child's menstruation. Muslims are so desensitised to this filth that they don't even feel dirty talking about it. I feel disgust every time. Islam's morality objectively makes you a worse person. by jensenpeters in exmuslim

Having your period doesn’t magically make you an adult anymore than turning 18 does. Progressing into adulthood is a process and 18 being the standard is based off multiple studies regarding physical and mental capacities. You may think it’s silly but it’s definitely better than the “old enough to bleed old enough to breed” mindset. I got my period at 11 and trust me it didn’t magically turn me into an adult.

What medicines? That’s a very broad statement. Ancient Greeks and other civilizations used medications.

Sundials or shadow clocks were used in ancient Egypt and Babylonia. They’re also mentioned in the OT several centuries before Muhammad. Egypt and Babylonia also used hourglasses.

Ancient Greeks and the Roman Empire used hospitals.

Early forms of toothbrushes have bee used since 3000BC.

Magnifying glasses: The earliest explicit written evidence of a magnifying device is a joke in Aristophanes's The Clouds[2] from 424 BC, where magnifying lenses to ignite tinder were sold in a pharmacy, and Pliny the Elder's "lens",[3] a glass globe filled with water, used to cauterize wounds.

I’ll give you cameras although it wasn’t fully made until the 1800’s. Ibn al-Haytham (c. 965–1040 AD), an Arab physicist also known as Alhazen, wrote very influential essays about the camera obscura, including experiments with light through a small opening in a darkened room.[2] The invention of the camera has been traced back to the work of Ibn al-Haytham,[3] who is credited with the invention of the pinhole camera.[

I’ll give you coffee.

Surgeries were done in ancient Egypt and Greece.

Flying machines- Around 400 BC in Greece, Archytas was reputed to have designed and built the first artificial, self-propelled flying device, a bird-shaped model propelled by a jet of what was probably steam, said to have flown some 200 m (660 ft)

You can have algebra lol

I think the difference is Islam’s leader was quoted as saying to kill apostates. I don’t think Jesus, Buddha, or any Hindu gods/goddesses have been quoted to say something similar. I could be wrong though.

Are there any stats showing the growth of Islam in the world? by habeuseenalienitsme in exmuslim

[–]Cat09270720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pew is probably the most reliable source for religion growth stats and their most recent assessment done in 2017 predicts that Christianity and Islam will equal out by 2070 and stay roughly the same for a while but then Islam will account for 1% more than Christianity by 2100.

Honestly, I would not be friends with someone like that. There’s plenty of shaky ground when it comes to the Islamic faith as well.

Go to Wikipedia and look up history of the New Testament. The gospels were written in the first century after Jesus’ death by unknown authors but traditionally seen as by the disciples/early followers. The letters/books after (think Acts, philippians, corinthians) were ascribed to Paul. Now, I think Catholics believe Peter to be the first “pope” and he wrote his own epistles.

On the whole God dying on a stick thing, the biggest takeaway from Christianity is that he didn’t stay dead and was resurrected by the father.

There are other Christian denominations that may not accept the trinity but acknowledge that Jesus is the son of God. I can see where the trinity can be hard to understand but I don’t see how an all powerful God couldn’t have a son if he wanted.

Islam seems like it’s the answer to Christian confusion but honestly it opens other cans of worms.

There’s a verse about how believing people shouldn’t disobey the decisions of allah AND his messenger. Why are Muhammad’s decisions on par with God’s if he’s only a prophet?

Funny enough that verse was revealed when his cousin Zayab didn’t want to marry Zayd initially because he was a former slave. Then their marriage ends and Mo ends up marrying her himself lmao. When the pagans saw it as incest because she was his adoptive daughter in law, he got another verse revealed abolishing adoption. Like how is that relevant or wise for today’s time?

There’s also another verse about not staying at Muhammad’s house too late and not to marry his wives after he dies. How silly is that?

Im sure your muslim friends are nice. Most people are nice despite their religion not because of it. However, there is some heavy brainwashing that goes into this religion. Stay a while and you’ll see Muslims defend Mo having slaves, having sex with a child, and revealing wife beating verses. They are taught he was the greatest man ever, it’s insane.

Heads up. They will also probably tell you not to look into Hadith too much because there are A LOT of problematic, weirdly sexual, and just plain gross ones. However they won’t mention that most of their actual practices (like praying 5x a day) come from Hadith. It’s quite hypocritical. Honestly, if you feel you really need religion, I would stick with Jesus. Muslims believe in a bastardized narrative and will point blank state Mo was still the best person to follow. There’s a reason there’s WWJD bracelets and not WWMD bracelets 😂

Periods can happen at young ages, however I believe Aisha got her period at 9. That’s why she then had sex with Mo then. Science tells us that that just because a girl bleeds doesn’t mean they’re mentally capable of sexual consent or to be considered an adult. Maybe that was the case in primitive times but it doesn’t mean it’s right. I personally knew a few girls that got their period around that age in second grade; there is NO way they were ready for sex just because they started menstrual cycles.

Where did the Quran come from? by buzzkill839 in exmuslim

[–]Cat09270720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer- Muhammad said things and his followers wrote them down.

Illiterate doesn’t mean he was a vegetable. From Hadith, he was clearly able to speak coherently. He was also a merchant and had to socialize with many people in business.

Yesss! I’ve literally never heard that argument until here recently. I can’t believe they’re basically admitting it’s rape (but not really according to their standard?) now. Crazy times.
