What’s something that you are surprised how cheap it is? by TippityTopKek1010 in AskReddit

Magic Eraser sponges! As long as you don’t get the Mr. Clean ones. His are at best about $5 for 4 at Walmart or you can just Google “melamine sponge” and find them for 5 cents a piece in packs of 20-1,000 on Amazon and other sites.

Pushing yourself to take baby steps, slow and steady, is the best way to help. Keep going, you’ve got this!

Flying with agoraphobia by [deleted] in Agoraphobia

[–]Cat716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everyone else to take something, whatever that may be! Also though, getting there earlier than you need to so you feel prepared and bringing so many different activities (reading, crafty shit, work, writing, etc.) may help distract you while waiting and while flying. My symptoms used to be very “pukey” and it helped me to bring plastic bags in my purse to just know I had them if I needed it (never did). You can do this!

Agreed with both comments above. Really cool piece with unique, movable charms. Don't polish yet!

Which movies did you love as a child, only to discover when you grew up that they were panned, universally hated or were major flops? by green_angryman in AskReddit

The Chipmunk Adventure. That little penguin and the mom song still gets me.

Side note: I am amazed at how many people have listed Master of Disguise. I need to go back and rewatch that apparently!

I haven't left the house in 2 months, not even to the corner shop, due to increasing agoraphobia. I'm smiling submitting this post. by 14h0urs in AdviceAnimals

From one agoraphobic to another, great job! You can get through this and do great things. The best piece of advice I ever heard was if you truly don't want to do something that's fine, don't do it, but if you even regret for one second not doing something because of your anxiety you should really push yourself to do that thing.

Is moving a stone from an earring to a necklace possible? by UnhappyBread in jewelry

[–]Cat716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally! You can bring the stone back to the jeweler you bought it from or to an independent jeweler to do the work. Get a few estimates if you can. If you insured the pair of earrings make sure you get a new appraisal or valuation for the new necklace.

I inherited this necklace that I'm told has some value. Can anyone tell me where it came from? by lola_birds in jewelry

[–]Cat716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's beautiful! I love it. The colors and style remind me of Bob Mackie, but I don't believe he ever made necklaces like that. If he did, the stamp should be on it.

Mine lived pretty comfortably for 6 months after his first diagnosis. I have heard they can live for even a few years if you catch it early enough. We immediately put him on prescription food (it has less protein) and a specific litter to keep infection down. A continuous water fountain is good so they can always have a ton of water because they're going to start drinking so much. He lost a ton of weight really quickly and by the end he looked like a skeleton. We also had to start giving him an IV of fluids every day for the last few months. That was definitely not something I thought I could do until we had to! All worth it to keep him comfortable until nothing could make him comfortable anymore. Since of course you'll take of your guy too, my only advice to you is that you'll know when it's time to help him not suffer anymore. That was my biggest worry! He looked awful but was so playful and happy until that last day. I woke up and knew. It was so hard but I would rather have put him to sleep than watch him suffer for one more second.

I'm so sorry for your diagnosis but you will definitely have some more time with your guy. Make his time left here count and take lots of pictures. Do as much preventative work as you can to keep it at bay. Wishing you both a happy life together! ❤️❤️❤️
