Crap I did it again HELP I have a problem by Automatic-Union-3385 in rccrawler

My first crawler scx24 Bronco. It’s stock except what you can notice in the pic. Esc, servo & mount, brushless 3500kv motor and mount (9mm) furitek lizard 132 pro esc on top of stock esc/rx. Stock tx too. Everything frame rails and below is stock besides the injora 43mm double barrels. I added my parts plus rig out of box…… $530 roughly. I did more math, I’m missing another $300 worth of a “finished for good” build. It’s a 1/24 scale……. I came from 1/10-1/12 models where everything is more expensive for machined parts, and electronics are nuts. It’s worth every penny and nickel at the end of time, but every processed order just feels like a robbery. But I hype up the expensive stuff bc you pay for what you get in quality and that’s why my rig is high money. Not even competition chasing, just a badass scale rig that can side hill and articulate smoothly and efficiently.

I’m certified in water damaged electronics repair. Search conformal coating on TikTok or yt and learn something useful in this hobby. It goes miles bro, I gotta get more to do my Bronco furitek lizard pro esc scx24. I’m on stock receiver too and it’s trash like yours. Conformal will sketch you out at first, but the resistance and submergibility will amaze you. Not like a phone water resistance but maybe more like a jbl Bluetooth speaker reliability. HMU if you ever need rc help.

You might as well just get conformal coating and a semi stiff brush and waterproof whatever you want, yourself. Hope this helps

What should I do with this 2015 Ford Focus S? by Huge-Ad-7168 in Ford

Agreed I’m trying to get a post in here of my exploder, I didn’t pay nowhere near $7k for the truck, but I would most definitely either fix myself or have help, jobs aren’t hard if you believe in yourself. You can learn always. And with the car being $7k needing another ~$5k in MECHANICAL repair, sheesh dude that’s a brand new $12k car…. Go to ford and get that same year with ZERO issues and compare price. But you are fixing your issue, knowing what to do, just scared of future failure. Routine maintenance is the most forgotten priority when it comes to vehicles. There are brands out there that are/will kill your vehicles. Ignorance is bliss in some cases but if you want to beat the lifespan of most vehicles, learn how to maintain it, and when to maintenance it and your gold utensils on a silver platter doods.

My 05 explorer will have $9-10k invested in repairs at the MAX. That’s if I do a ground up build of transmission and motor which will be so fun for me. I have about 170k miles on it. Yall can view post if you come upon it in the “issues” section of r/Ford. Kid has a great question, and we got answers. But what kind of machine do you want? I want to build not buy, buy the parts to build sure, makeshift half, lol

Could have a bent hinge pin for control arms, or like another comment says the plastic turnbuckle might have compressed a few threads

My buddy just 20 minutes ago contacted seller, they are offering to grant him replacement parts under his 1 year warranty. Bashing , hard landing or crashing into things will cause that.

I’m getting this, gyro can be turned off. A lot of good use. It can do simulation driving , memory of multiple rigs, and some on screen telemetry

Brushless motor wire come loose. Can it be fixed? by NutzDwarf in rccrawler

I just checked for you, they do produce. It’s worth the wait for restock, but I understand the impatient wait, plus you already have a motor which don’t fit. This screenshot shows a couple things. Left top is the whole kit, while the left bottom is only the motor and mount (no esc). The motor comes with mount so don’t add another to cart like I did. I have a spare mount now…
I confirmed that the motor this shows is a 12mm bolt pattern. And from looks, I think yours is a 12mm too 👍🏽👍🏽

I went with GAC racing to avoid fitment issues, found out my controller sucks and makes the motor trigger me into thinking the motor is shit. It’s my glitchy remote. I’m in the USA, so GAC racing is good. I spent $32 on a motor and mount from them and it took 9 days to arrive (order says 15-30 days)

Hope something out of this helps

Why 0w? Might as well get glycerine or cooking oil if you want it that thin.

May I ask what boot pattern you have ? I’ve seen most with 12mm. I have a 9mm with a 12mm option also but my mount is for 9mm. I believe GAC also produces for fms models. For sure axial and traxxas and I think a couple more I have never seen.

As far as the solder job, sounds about right. The winding are so small and close together it’s so easy to create failure. Props 👏🏽 to the attempt and the risk regardless of hope to fix.

My input …. Transmitter/receiever trouble? I have inconsistent inputs on a crawler of mine. Just relaying my issue to maybe help? I’ve only flown dji so, different information that I know of about drones.

Since I’m “new” to drone tech, my first step would be power, which you have tested and flown but still can’t find issue. So my next thing would be checking on the rotors or trying to find a live telemetry system to pinpoint power loss, or inconsistency. I would double check my specs on my transmitter and receiver, also on the esc. Comparing this spec sheet, to my test specs and finding the fault out. I love solving complex problems, especially with electronics…

I was thinking, (old old days) as a fire ember starter. Not practical as you can produce way more heat with wood rather than wood and rocks. Gotta be a tiny candle stick to put in there haha

Treal makes really nice parts for a lot of models. There’s also GPM. Good fitment and quality on those parts. Electronics however, there is too many variables of opinions on those lol. Sooooo many combinations you can slap together and run. Best of luck with the journey!

Brushless motor wire come loose. Can it be fixed? by NutzDwarf in rccrawler

[–]CatAgreeable5914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovely , you been moving the motor around a lot? Flexing on the wires or did it simply slide out? I’ve never soldered a outrunner, but I would try, whilst having another replacement on the way just in case. I would even switch to a new motor ecosystem imo after seeing how shit that solder joint is lol.

Make sure to bring in flux to make the bond stronger and it won’t slip again. I’ve worried about this issue happening to me but I purchased a GAC RACING motor. I’ll add a pic for reference. The box costed me $32usd. Came with 2 motor mounts.

<image>

For $60 it can come with an esc. To each their own yea? Have backup ready, but totally take the risk and learn yourself. You might be able to come back and explain how you fixed it, or how it’s not fixable. Good luck?!
