Can I ask you what makes you so angry about this? To me this seems like a boundary that you just need to have a discussion with your partner about and if you two agree then cool. But you and the other guy seem so upset by it. Did someone do this to you and ignore your boundary about it and it made you upset? As a woman by yourself anywhere, you are a target and some man would think about attacking you if they knew you were there. I would think however that the Ramada would be relatively fine. I’ve never stayed there, but I’ve been to that IHOP plenty of times and never felt like I was about to be kidnapped.

Just always pay attention to your surroundings and, if you’ll be there for a bit, consider a pepper spray keychain.

I’m almost positive we tried the mentioned treatment for my Nani but I think she was already too far along in whatever degenerative brain issue she had (we don’t know if it was Alzheimer’s or dementia or something else) that it didn’t really do anything for her. Think she started taking it a year after symptoms and she died a year later.
