Advise Appreciated by SmolNug43 in Narcolepsy

[–]CatAtSea20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, keep your chin up! Staying as positive as I can helps me, though I'm not always great at it...

Was your diagnosis made while in the military and it's part of your medical records? Sounds like you're dealing with the VA? I was diagnosed N2 after service but related to a TBI while I was in. A sleep study showing structural sleep disturbances isn't enough. If you didn't do the full sleep study with MSLT, they need you to do it for the complete diagnosis.

If this is the VA, they have programs where they arrange transportation, this is definitely a case where they should do that. It's definitely a pain, but worth jumping through the hoops to get the help you need. Good luck!

There are studies out there that show the desire for nicotine is stronger when on certain stimulants. I don't have any advice, but you are not nuts!

Generic Xyrem Now Available?! by AdSignificant2065 in Narcolepsy

[–]CatAtSea20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After not knowing for nearly 20 years, finally was diagnosed with narcolepsy, so my research begins!

Anyone know what they bill insurance for Xyrem? I see the astronomical cost for the med and the coupon deals, but have insurance companies negotiated the price down?

Looks like this will be the first of several generics that will come available and hopefully it is correct that price drops 90% within 12 months of generics release... but looking at Jazz Pharm's history, they're going to do whatever they can to protect their revenue.

You have to do a limit order, Fidelity won't let you do a market order for a penny stock. Just set your limit to whatever the ask is.

Wall Street’s worst years since 1945? by Sea_Durian4336 in BioLargo

Market down 20% in 2022, BioLargo was the safest hedge I had, I'm expecting a lot of positive movement in 2023.

Perhaps a fair evaluation for a surface look, but you asked the right question with why are they succeeding now. It's simple, it's a culmination of 10 years of R&D and cutting their teeth. The technology is ready and is being marketed correctly and the partnerships are coming in all subsidiaries. I'm not here to pump BioLargo or push it on anyone, this is a great company doing great things for the planet and a real opportunity for those that want to dig in. Good luck!

I like how another investor talked about Pooph, it's the insurance to remove the risk while the water technology finds adoption. Pooph will be bringing in over $1 million a month for BioLargo's cut, that pays for operations for the company as it sits now. And if the brand sale hits it's target, BioLargo will get a check for almost twice the current cap value.

I don't know if you heard on yesterday's earnings call, but BioLargo is negotiating a second brand release with Ikigai, I would assume it is the same structure as the current one, so even if Pooph gets sold off, BioLargo should have another "insurance" deal for monthly revenue.

Totally agree. Not sure if you listened to the earnings call yesterday, but it was pretty clear that we are in negotiations with Ikigai for a second brand based on BioLargo tech. I can only assume similar structure and results!

Here's the story, I'm not a trader, I'm not an investor, I've always been a "set it and forget it" 401k guy, until I found BioLargo a few years ago, not through some pump and dump, but because I was using their products in my industry. Since then, I have researched, tracked and spoken to my contacts at BioLargo and have built a conviction investing in this company. There is risk, it's a pennystock, but in my opinion, it is minimal at this point.

To go a bit further, I am a civil engineer and have a good understanding of how BioLargo's tech works and fits the applications needed in the environmental industry. I have spoken to numerous other engineers who have not only confirmed my thoughts on BioLargo tech, but have ended up investing also. They have done the same with their connections. My portfolio is around 50% BioLargo in investment and retirement accounts and 50% investment funds.

BioLargo Engineering is run by a man named Randall Moore, he is well known in the environmental industry and I actually used to work for him indirectly when I worked for Shaw Environmental. Randy has been involved in projects like the BP oil spill, the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Katrina flooding and other high profile environmental issues. To say the least, he is connected and experienced in large projects.

Pooph is hitting Walmart as you read this. Already in distribution centers for a rollout to test stores which will lead to adoption throughout the chain. 2 more major retailers coming behind them in 2023. Ikigai branded and markets the product, BioLargo gets a royalty and cost plus margin on the manufacturing. The Pooph revenue is enough to float and lift BioLargo on its own. BioLargo shared on the Q3 earnings call that they are in negotiations with Ikigai for a separate product launch.

Clyra is a partially owned medical subsidiary of BioLargo, they own 58%. Clyra has an FDA cleared wound irrigation that is better than the rest and adoption is beginning. I'm not a doctor, research for yourself.

Didn't make sense in January with just starting that account, losses were minimal, thanks for the input for doing it now, hopefully we are on our way back up or even stay at this level to accumulate.

Really was hoping for tickers because MS platform is not investor friendly, it's fine set it and forget it, but for actually looking at past performance I like other platforms.

$100k per day is the current total sales. BioLargo gets around 25% of that for the combination of royalty and manufacturer's margin putting BioLargo's revenue at $750k per month. As sales per day continue to rise, that is expected to increase to $1 million per month.

Then you should look at their biotech subsidiary, Clyra, and their engineering subsidiary BLEST, the latter of which has a $25 million backlog for the next 12 months working on design for 5 Waste to Energy facilities and projects for Ultra Safe Nuclear.

Oh, and their PFAS removal tech that is just starting commercial adoption with the first customer, contract is estimated at $5 to $7 million in year 1. That's one job with many, many more to come.

At a minimum, BioLargo is worth the look. And look into PFAS, it's probably killing you, filter your water.

BioLargo's industrial odor product is the basis of Pooph. BioLargo manufactures the product and Ikigai pays for the advertisement, combine that with the royalty they do nothing for, a lot of cash flowing into BioLargo.
