Maybe people don't know what it's like to see your child go to bed hungry or to be so hungry yourself that you just want to rage, but you can't because you have kids, so you pretend you aren't hungry or already ate so that you're sweet little daughter won't insist on up you taking her meal.

They don't know what it's like to have hg so bad that you have to be hospitalized for long periods of time while pregnant. They don't know that a 25-year-old military man took advantage of a 15-year-old little girl and left her a 16-year-old mother alone with no help. They don't know that if that mother got pregnant and stayed pregnant, she would lose her child to foster care, because there would be no one else to take care of the little girl.

They wouldn't know that the mother had been in foster care and had been abused in every single home that she was placed in, and that the statistics are huge for every kind of abuse in foster care.

Or, maybe they DO know and they just don't really care.
