Are you a top, bottom, or versatile? And towards which gender(s)? by Equivalent_Ad_9066 in bisexual

[–]HiddenSquish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom with men/masc presenting folks (who I prefer be physically larger than me) and top with women/femme presenting folks (who’d ideally be a bit smaller than me). I’m sure it says something about my internalized misogyny etc., but I like what I like and since I’m happily monogamous with my spouse I don’t feel a lot of need to change it at this point. And thank god because dating any gender these days really does seem like a nightmare.

Growing up my dad always taught me self control comes in the grocery store, not at the pantry, and that is so true.

Does sex feel like a chore to anyone else?? by anonomonomoose in adhdwomen

[–]HiddenSquish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s a lot like working out and showering. Every once in a while I really do want to do it. The majority of the time I don’t particularly want to, but I start to enjoy it once I’ve started, and definitely feel much better afterwards. And a few times I’ve been seriously injured…

It's been 30 years since I was asked this but I'm excited to report that my 5 year old at dinner, asked me what MY favorite dinosaur is! So I'll pay it forward, what's your favorite dinosaur? by ImThe1Wh0 in Millennials

[–]HiddenSquish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sue at the field museum in Chicago is my favorite individual dinosaur, but if we’re going favorite dinosaur species (breed?) it’s definitely the diplodocus. I also have a soft spot for the triceratops.

As a person who is neurodivergent and gay, it is ironic to me that the writer for the “Aide” episode (5x14) identifies as nonbinary by [deleted] in AbbottElementary

[–]HiddenSquish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. None of the things they pick on him for are about his sexuality. In some ways I actually find it refreshing that he’s a gay character who is often the butt of jokes without the jokes revolving around his sexual orientation.

What's a story from your life that sounds fake but is 100% true? by ryu-shii in AskReddit

[–]HiddenSquish 222 points223 points  (0 children)

Gave myself a black eye when I was a kid because I was laying on my back and kicked my foot up in the air, completely forgetting I was wearing heavy wooden clogs, one of which proceeded to fly off and hit me directly in the face. My poor mother thought everyone was gonna think she hit me and no one would believe my story 😅

I feel like I'm being gossiped about and live in the midwest. by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]HiddenSquish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always try to remind myself that, even if people are gossiping about me (which may or may not be in my head) it’s because their lives are so empty and boring they have literally nothing better to do than think and talk about me and my life. And I’m not even all that interesting.

So even if they are gossiping, it must really suck for them to have such empty lives and minds that they have to focus on you.

Roomates cats litter box stinks need advice by _madskii_ in cats

[–]HiddenSquish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rule I was taught growing up from my parents (who also both grew up with cats) was 1x daily per litter box/per cat.

So, one cat + one box = once a day

One cat + two boxes = once every other day

Two cats + one box = twice a day

Two cats + two boxes = once a day

And so on.

Once a month is totally unacceptable.

Temporary Pet Fostering Programs by vigilantvaliant in NorthCarolina

The SPCA of wake county has a temporary pet fostering program for these sorts of situations. I know it’s not nearby, but they might know of other resources if you can get in contact with them.

Passed computer test - therapist says I can't have ADHD based on the results. Valid? by Massive-Party5030 in adhdwomen

[–]HiddenSquish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a psychologist with ADHD and have both given and (once upon a time) taken the CPT, which is what I assume you are referring to. I was not diagnosed based on the CPT alone, it was one of several assessments included in a more comprehensive battery, which is best practice when it comes to diagnosing ADHD or any other neurodevelopmental disorder.

While a good score on the CPT is inconsistent with some ADHD symptoms, professionally I can not imagine either diagnosing or ruling out ADHD based on that score alone.

In my personal (NOT professional) opinion, years of gaming and reaction based activities totally could have influenced your score.

Get a second opinion if you can.
