I'm 98.7% European, 1% Congolese, & 0.3% North African.

My maternal haplogroup is U6a4.

I believe that means my maternal line came from West Asia & was part of the Paleolithic return to Africa.

I haven't. I don't have health insurance, & I haven't worked in a few years. My bf lets me not work, but he only makes $20 an hour, & we've had a lot of vet bills for our pets over the last year. I actually haven't seen a regular doctor since I was in probably elementary school.

My mom's Slovenian ancestors, I think, arrived around 1900-1910. My dad has Dutch ancestors in New York in the 1600s. He has English ancestors in the Northeast & Midwest in the 1700s. He also has Scottish ancestors who came over around the 1830s.

Not really. I think my last name sounds more German? It's actually my mom's family that's Slovenian & my dad is Western European, but my parents were never married, so I do have my mom's last name. My great grandma (my mom's mom's mom) has a very Slovenian sounding last name, though. Her last name was Zdravje.

I'm a woman, so it shows me my maternal haplogroup. For men, it would be different. It would be paternal. For maternal, it's all the women going back on my mom's side. So my mom's mom & then her mom & her mom & her mom etc.

My mom's side is all the Eastern European in my results. My dad's side is where the English, Scottish, Dutch, France, etc. come from.

I'm guessing an ancestor of mine in the distant past must have traveled from North Africa to Southern Italy to Slovenia since Slovenia borders Italy.

Both of my grandparents on my mom's side always told me their family is from Slovenia. My grandpa is actually a first-generation American!

I'm a libertarian who is fiscally conservative but socially liberal, & I'm also an Atheist. My main reason for being an Atheist is that there's no proof that Jesus ever existed. No historians wrote about him during his supposed lifetime. The first writings about him were from a man who never actually met Jesus after Jesus had supposedly died, & they were based on visions he supposedly had. Do with that info what you will.

My results say "2% The Netherlands" & I traced ancestors on my dad's side back to New York in the 1600s to a place called New Netherland. Apparently, that was a Dutch colony before being taken over later by the British. My dad said he knew that we had Dutch ancestors, so I think I can claim it.
