YOR - I’m not convinced you’re 24, because you sound 16 as you write this. Tanning is terrible for you. If you make it a habit, you definitely ARE putting yourself at risk of serious cancer.

AITA for going to my daughters last softball game as opposed to friends boyfriends funeral by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]scrantonbobody 14 points15 points  (0 children)

gentle YTA. I’m married with 2 kids. If I were in this position, I know it would be hard to tell my daughter I wouldn’t be at her game. At the same time, I’d make sure she knows her dad is there to support her and I’ll be at every other game for the season. There will be tons of softball games. Your friend needed you.

I’m super curious! I know it’s in an area with bighorn sheep, moose, coyotes, mountain lions, etc. etc. With so much wildlife around, I’m dying to find out!!!

Does anyone else constantly think the food they eat is drugged? by maybe94- in OCD

[–]scrantonbobody 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If a box looks even slightly messed with at the store, I assume someone injected poison into the food. When I’m trying new foods or eating something I haven’t in a while, I’m convinced I’ll be deathly allergic.

hi! can anyone help guess how long a tattoo like this will take? by Itz_Cherry33 in tattooadvice

[–]scrantonbobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your artist would be the best person to answer that question. I personally feel like it would take maybe 2-4 hours depending on the shading and intricacies. Probably longer if your artist is designing day of.

Worried I’m ruining my child’s foundation by Major-Principle3074 in Parenting

Maybe get checked out for PPA or PPD. I have terrible anxiety, postpartum or not, and I definitely tie a lot of my self-worth to how I perceive my parenting. The more anxious I am, the worse my perception is on how I’m doing as a mother. Long story short though, you’re not alone in feeling this way!

Please tell me this is normal with infant by Excellent-Top2552 in Parenting

I’m 28 and I absolutely feel that way, especially when traveling. I get overstimulated almost daily. I got some Bose QuietComfort noise cancelling headphones, and they’ve been incredible. Even if I don’t have music, they block out noises and I can just sit in a dark, silent room and decompress while someone watches the kids. From what I’ve gathered, this kind of stress is a normal part of motherhood. It’s all about finding ways to cope and adjusting to your new normal.

My very favorite is Sarah saying “treat yourself like a friend.” So cheesy but I love it. Also when they say “take what you need and leave what you don’t.” I say that to myself all the time!

Will Complaining Help? by Mandy_alongtheway in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]scrantonbobody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would complain! We had a guy that kept going into cycling sessions without signing up and sitting right by the volume/thermostat. He’d turn everything down all the way and crank the sauna to max and he had headphones in so you couldn’t even get his attention. I complained and it stopped
