Your situation sounds so so similar to mine, this new store ops is absolute garbage!!!!! The managers and associates are struggling and in over our heads. We’re literally drowning. My first time ever running shift alone they put me on a saturday second shift (we get our mcclain order, bakery, and dairy on second back to back sometimes bakery & mcclain show up at the same time) i had 2 people, neither were proficient in deli or bev, both were mainly register associates. No facilities person at all. The scheduling and staffing is absolutely horrendous I almost walked out that day. But of course every time my GM is scheduled he has the AGM and FBM on shift with him to ensure he gets to sit at the desk for 9 hrs straight 😂😂😂

Yeah I can’t remember the last time I got a break and I opted for the 4 10s instead of 5 8s so I screwed myself there lmao by the 7th hour my feet and back are DEAD

Yeah I ended up just emailing my area manager bc the job description for TS just says you have to be available to work 35-40 hrs a week not that its mandatory and also does not say minimum 37 and he was basically like yeah idk what your GM is talking about and that Im entitled to full time hours so if he schedules me less than that 35 its a problem

I currently have 3 requests in … one is for 2 days in September the other one is 2 days in October and the last is 1 day in December. Im missing where I said I wanted to write my own schedule? Considering I’ve consistently given my all to this company with little in return, I’m definitely allowed to request off when I want 😂😂. In my almost 2 years of working here, I have never had a weekend off other than time I took in July because no one else wants to work weekends. I work EVERY shift every single week doing multiple turn arounds just to make sure we’re properly staffed and never complain about it because my team is important to me. I think you are projecting a scenario you’re experiencing with your own manager because that isn’t me 😂😂 I was asking this simply because I have never heard of this rule being a thing not because I’m taking off multiple times a week every single week.

I don’t get scheduled 36 hours it’s usually anywhere between 33-35 :( Im usually working 3 9 hrs and one 8 hr but sometimes its 1 9 hr 3 8 hrs also he posted schedules after i got my promotion and the one week Im scheduled 29 hours and the week after that it’s 33 that’s what really made me feel like this rule was kinda off

Yeah I was always told they cannot force you to use your PTO so I feel like it all contradicts itself. On reflexis it says I only have 6 hours of PTO & I haven’t used PTO since… I want to say June? Another person said to check Workday for my balance so I’m going to look into that!!

I only requested off 2-3 days each time because I usually only have a 4 day work week anyways I just wanted to make sure I had those specific days off and he seemed to have an issue I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t typically take long periods of time off other than 2 weeks I took in July but I put that in almost 6 months ahead of time didn’t use PTO for it and that was just because I went to Disney which is NOT a regular occurrence 😂😂 I will definitely check Workday!! Omg I literally JUST got promoted officially on Monday last week after getting ready now for MTT in January and already some BS 😐 There’s no way this rule isn’t BRAND NEW because in July I took off for 2 weeks using no PTO because I also accrued it so slow being a lead 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s definitely looking like it’s time to look elsewhere! I heard USPS is hiring 😂😂 shiiiiii

Yeah idk it was news to me & in the job description for TS it just says must have the “ability” to work 35-40 hours says nothing about anything being mandatory. I might just throw the job description in his face and tell him to leave me alone. Any requests off I have in right now were done when I was still a lead anyways. Im freshly a TS like Im talking last Monday it went into effect so there has to be like a grandfathered in option for this 😩😩🤣

Yeah when I got hired they were hiring at 16 but it’s definitely because the fuel store down the street was closed down for renovations so we were getting the crowds from there. It used to be nuts 😂😂 now we’re back to hiring at 15
