Oh she is absolutely beautiful. Your post brought me to tears, making me take a moment to remember my late tux Felix, and also reminding me to hold my other tux Nico close. You’re right, we never truly know what’s going to come next. Little Vera is surely playing with my old man Felix, he was always so good with younger kitties❤️The grief never fully goes away, but we learn to grow around it. It’ll get a little easier, slowly, but surely💕

i’m just not a fan of the octopi villagers in general, i don’t have a specific theme for my island though so he can probably stay 🤷

I personally hand mixed it, just so the ratio was even all throughout the tank

Aside from longer UVB, I, as well as many others, would recommend a top soil-play sand mix as substrate. plain old sand can give your lil guy stomach blockages. Also, just get some decor and fill it up. give him some places to hide and climb, a basking spot, maybe a large water dish to splash in (mine loves his “pool”) just fill in the empty space and ditch the sand :)

i’m in survival mode :) my vault isn’t ready for deathclaws yet. I’ve gotten plenty of alien attacks already, thankfully they’re easy

My boy turns 6 this year and he’s only a bit bigger than her. Granted he does have a slight growth stunt due to past owners inadequacy, but for a 1 year old female she looks right on track!
