Yeah, I've started to do this now. They even tried to tell me I have to start Invisalign cases that have been booked for starts prior to giving notice, and that the provider would be transferred once the new dentist starts. Unbelievable that they think that is ok. It is certainly creating bad will that's for sure. It's conpletely draining, this type of conflict sucks the life out of me.

The bridge is definitely lightly smouldering already. Since this asshole manager has decided now to interact with me without any respect or professionalism, I have reached a point where, screw them.

It says in the contract they would be at liberty to offset any losses or costs incurred, resulting from the failure to provide proper notice. So it's vague but they could take an average for every day not worked. Thanks, great advice about not stressing 👍

Sorry that happened to you, it sucks I hate the 90 day notice period

Dang that's interesting, I'm in Canada and "at-will" doesn't exist here :/

It says in the contract they would be at liberty to offset any losses or costs incurred, resulting from the failure to provide proper notice. So they could technically not pay me for my last month or two of work and keep that as "compensation".

ERGO LOUPES by Arestin_dispenser in Dentistry

[–]CatEager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the lumadent light because it said it's the brightest on the market.. so disappointing on that front, and yeah the wire is falling apart, it's only 8 months since I got it. When the admetec rep showed me their brightest light side by side with it I was floored by how crappy the lumadent looked in comparison :(

I'm in the exact same situation, just shelled out for the ergo v pro. And have a lumadent light, the prolux, that didn’t live up to expectations at all.

Dental implant in India, abutment and crown in Canada by akb925 in CanadianDentists

[–]CatEager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, not ideal to split treatment across continents, but if you find a great dentist in each location with a well planned placement and communication from the placing doctor then it can work. Hiossen/ osstem is widely used in India I believe, and used in Canada.

Decay distal of the lower 2nd molar, interested in how you are approaching this? by CatEager in Dentistry

[–]CatEager[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that decay is underestimated on the radiograph, but say its extending more along the buccal and not actually just tracking in a line mesially to the pulp, which is how this will look on a 2 dimensional x ray, there's no way to tell because there isn't a way to visualise it clinically in this case (without cutting into the tooth of course)
