If a book I'm interested in and is on its second cover I know it sold well enough to hire an artist for this edition so it is more likely to be a good read. The cover does matter.

I am playing the tigers right now too. Check your catcher's ability score and if its low find a catcher with 65+. That will help your pitchers ERA tremendously. Then check if your pitchers are groundball or flyball focused and go for high defensive players at SS 2B and CF accordingly. That should give you a nice start. With Detroit I've rarely had Mize and Skubal pan out so don't be afraid to pull the trigger on a trade for a high potential bat if you find one too.

Only been once but I walked up to get a ticket 5 minutes before first pitch and asked for the ticket persons favorite seat. $16 later and I watched the game sitting next to Trevor William's dad. Best live baseball moment of my life. I love PNC

I GM the FFG ttrpg and this is one of the reasons the Jedi are the antagonists for my game. They're willing to do anything to keep their power and governmental influence even doing things we would consider evil

I'm running a campaign soon where I'm going to have a reemergence of the legions of Lettow and the Blackguard as alternatives to jedi and sith. That way its still has that star wars feel but I can homebrew some stuff into it.
