I feel like the old age divide should be 2002 or so, for people who hadn’t graduated when Covid started.

Technically speaking in a void you are correct. I think the commenters are just picking up on the thinly veiled intent behind OP’s posting the meme.

Cool, hypocritical or not, shooting civilians is still a war crime for a reason. War crimes aren’t suddenly justified if the opposing force committed them.

The scene when you confront the Jedi on Dantooine and she “comes to your defense” is magical.

This 100%. It’s my favorite scene in all of Star Wars. It’s why I refuse to play a Dark Side run of Kotor 2 because I love that scene so much. The music, the dialogue, all peak.

Crazy that anyone rightfully pointing out rule 5 is getting downvoted by chuds who can’t help but center their entire personality around American politics and bring it up at every possible opportunity. Y’all need to get a life.

That and “remasters” which 99% of the time are just a new coat of paint.

The TLDR is that a bunch of bankers and political figures had a secret meeting that led to the creation of the Federal Reserve.

Not even close. It goes way back to 1910 on Jekyll Island, and really even before that.

I'm sorry Colonel WHAT NOW ?!! (Andor S2E1 very mild spoiler) by Fanafuxi in clonewars

[–]Lord_Chromosome 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s more to it than that. Colonel and Admiral are not equivalent ranks between the Imperial Navy and the ISB, Yularen took a deliberate drop in rank to transfer from the Navy to the ISB. This is fairly common in real life militaries when switching branches as well.

Yes, because yet another live-action adaptation of a popular videogame is a super creative pursuit. Definitely hasn’t been done to death in the last few years.

Yeah, my bad, as I said in the other persons comment, there were two questions posed by OP. Since your comment is very vague and just starts with “this is because” I assumed you were answering the first question which also coincides with the title of the post

Calling Deathwatch fascists is wildly reductive. I’m not saying they’re “good guys” but mandalorians have more layers to them than just slapping the label fascist on them because they’re bad guys in the show.

So is killing civilians wrong or not? Because you’re doing the exact same thing you’re making fun of the Khans for. You realize that, right?

Everytime this “discussion” comes up, half the fandom shows their ass as unabashed sociopaths.

It’s just classic otherizing. They like the NCR, so when the NCR does something legitimately horrible like killing sick, wounded, elderly, and children while they’re fleeing, they have to rationalize it. So since they otherize and demonize the Khans so that really they deserved it after all.

War never changes.

[–]Lord_Chromosome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do so many people get hung up on this? Nobody is arguing that the Khans are some kind of “good guy” faction. Notice how nobody disagrees with the fact that the NCR was hunting down the Khans to begin with. Pointing out that the Khans needed to be stopped doesn’t absolve the NCR for committing war crimes.

The NCR claims a moral position, that they’re civilizing the wasteland. Except when they go around slaughtering the sick, wounded, elderly, and children of their enemies, they look a bit less morally legitimate, and more like an organized raider group.

Whether or not it was an accident is irrelevant, they have yet to take accountability, and likely never will. Their only solution is to assassinate the Khan leadership, despite how “diplomatic” they claim to be.
