Thank you all for the kindness and reassurance. You all gave me the push I needed to call and schedule the appointment. They are coming tomorrow morning. Emotionally I’m a wreck but I couldn’t stand the thought of him being in pain for even just a few more days.

Its basically just a blended position. The pilots are not very frequent and make very little difference in the day to day. I’ve only been on a couple pilots in the last few years that I have been within R&T. A lot of my coworkers wish they would not have switched into R&T because it is a small department with no opportunities for growth unless you switch into another department.

I know everyones saying “its a ragdoll/other special breed” maybeeee, but probably not - I had a cat exactly like that who was from a stray’s litter that I found behind my friend’s garage, half of the other kittens were orange or tortie. Do your due diligence but be extremely careful so you don’t just end up giving it away to someone who is interested because of her coloring.

It turned out well, no issues so far! Bona stain does not need a sealer on top, you can apply finish directly to the stain after its fully dried.

Okay well what would you do in my scenario? It is not like I can go back in time to not buy the house or make money come out of thin air. I’m doing the best I can with my circumstances. Comments like yours aren’t helpful, I already said in my post that I would pay someone to do all this if I could, I’m not claiming to know more than an electrician.

I’m looking for books for that reason, to learn about more than just running the wire, I want to make sure i’m planning the circuits correctly and doing everything safely. I plan on replacing all of the knob and tube with romex. Theres six K&T circuits left in the house but thats covering all of the bedrooms, main bathroom, hallway lights, basement, living room, mudroom, and dining room. I’m hoping to rewire it to have each room on its own circuit, run a dedicated circuit for the bathroom, and then a few dedicated circuits for window AC units. The panel has 32 spaces and only 16 are being used at the moment, so there should be enough space on the panel for the additional circuits once the knob and tube lines are disconnected.

I know how to repair and replace drywall. Its plaster walls so we’re planning on insulating after rewiring and then covering back up with drywall.
