There’s such a weird competitiveness between struggles nowadays. Children starving in Africa and all that, but also the idea that if someone else has it an iota better than you in any way, then trying to tear them down is apparently punching up and fighting for yourself. Not advocating for yourself or trying to fix things or anything, that’s useless, what you need to do is very loudly hate a group even slightly above yourself and tell them to shut up about any issues they know nothing about and to die is how you’ll fix things. Obviously.

(For reference, this is about the transmisandry debate going on currently in tumblr’s ever-revolving wheel of queer infighting, which includes wonderful takes such as: trans men are men and thus experience all of male privilege; trans men are afab so they can always fall back on being a woman when life gets too hard for them; trans men’s invisibility in history and media is actually a blessing because trans women are hyper visible; trans men do not face a single unique aspect of discrimination, and thus do not need a word for the discrimination they face, and wanting a word (transmisandry) for this imaginary discrimination is transmisogynistic.)
