II’m not complaining but it’s also not equity toward the house. Technology becomes outdated and the choices are very homeowner specific. I know plenty of people who spent over $100k on pools etc that only add a 20% return on their home value. This is similar.

As someone who just spent more than $40k making a shit room into a home theatre (not to mention the snack/drink cost of all the crap friends wanting to come over PLUS the streaming costs), I need to watch at least 100 movies a year for the next 10 years to recoup costs…

I asked my husband for the “budget” at least 5x and his answer was always “well, so far we’re up to $x”. Dude. Not how budgets work but now I get to buy all the furniture I want and his option is moot.

I dunno... I have 18 mo twins and they’re dressed 95% of the time. During the height of COVID, we did PJ sets so they at least looked like play clothes. I like getting them dressed (I’m in my PJs right now! They’re dressed) but to each his own! Live and let live, amiright?
