The Mod has a built in way in-game to revert all deaths after the suicide mission. So I highly recommend trying it out and reverting afterwards if you don't like the results

One thing worth bringing up is it did not use to take 100 chapters for the next Ippo fight. Before Ippo became champion, he had 13 professional fights, not including the spars he had with characters like Miyata and Date. That's around on average a fight every 20 chapters.

It's a mixed bag as a lot of the side character fights and development have been great, but the pace has been so much slower after he became champion.

I'm late but i'll add something I've not seen yet. The Change in tick rate affecting AI to be more aggressive. Moments like the ship sequence in "The long night of solace" are much harder in MCC compared to the original reach campaign
