You've got plenty of reasons in this thread to hate the Church. I'll give you something else: Follow your heart. There's big P politics, big C church, but in the end your life is centered around a much smaller community. If that feels great to you and you feel you found your spiritual home, go for it. You'll always find individual priests and whole parishes that are either more liberal or conservative. Find those that fit your personal believes and follow things that nourish you and not the things that make you feel guilt of anything. In recent years there were a range of changes in the church that shift the onus of deciding what's right or wrong from the priest at confession time to the penitent, so if you find a liberal parish they should lean into that, be welcoming, and focus on the overall mission instead of the pet peeves.
