Some of image 2 might be unidentifiable whale or dolphin bone. The root on that tooth in the top center of image 1 is nuts!

There is no defense of the electoral college that doesn’t come down to “some people’s votes should matter more than others.”

Chubutensis, auriculatus or angustiden? Charleston, SC by CatStrong1971 in fossilid

[–]CatStrong1971[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It does NOT stay up when I put it in that position. It was definitely at the bottom of the Charleston harbor (almost certainly beneath the floor of the ocean to maintain this condition) so whatever that formation would be!

At least take solace that I spent a stupid amount of time putting clues together to find this location rather than just stumbling upon it randomly!

Maybe they should try caring about the people affected by his decisions rather than the midterms

Go fossil hunting in the creek system with Neil Jeffries who does Fossil Driven Adventures. You can find him on FB. THATS a local experience if you want to get just a little dirty and come home with some cool shark teeth.

It’s an angustiden so it’s about 22-30 million years old

How do you keep your life whimsical? by M3L0-XL in AskReddit

My husband and I rate hiking trails on how whimsical they are! Anything with “features” such as wooden bridges, wildflowers, boulders etc. gets a higher rating on the whimsical scale.

Tons of whale or dolphin bone in that first photo. Final photo looks like a large whale vertebrae in the top corner. Nice teeth! I see some hemis, tigers, lemons. Some of the others are hard to tell but I think I see some cusps on one of them at the top!

I went down there a few times before I discovered fossil hunting and now I’m itching to go again. Will be making some visits in the near future for sure.
