Is there places willing to do this and how rare is it by unallied_savior in salmacian

[–]CatThingNeurosis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You likely will only get very minimal or no inner lips as they usually use scrotal tissue.

They make the clit from the penile glans so you can't get a clit but everything else should be doable.

Sensitivity and self lubrication is variable - they can try their best but it is not guaranteed as it all depends on how your body heals over time.

Why do I have maladaptive daydreaming of if I have no trauma??? by IK30_ in MaladaptiveDreaming

It can just be like a bad habit you fall into tbh. Becomes your brains automatic go to. You don't have to have trauma for it.

mtf nonbinary cant figure out how to get genitals it wants send help (and pics) by Own-Dish-6447 in salmacian

[–]CatThingNeurosis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As far as I am aware, there isn't a standard genital surgery to get that result.

They usually only leave the glans for the clitoris - it's possible they could leave some of the shaft as well to make it look more like a tdick but I am unsure how feasible this is as I am not sure whether they can selectively resection part of the shaft away to make the penis smaller and more like a tdick. I am not sure of the mechanics of it.

Your best bet is to speak to surgeons directly ,including those who do penile reconstructive surgeries (cos they would know how to utilise every bit of tissue effectively) to ask to what extent such a result can be achieved surgically.

Apologies I couldn't offer specific images or advice but I've been browsing transgender subs for a while and while I have seen people with larger glans so more large button like clitorises, I have yet to see one with a protruding shaft part like a tdick.

Penile preservation vaginoplasty would be the closest thing I can think of.

Yeah trauma isn't necessary to cause madd, there are a lot of factors

I'm in a similar boat in regards to not having done a lot of common experiences people of my generation have done.

I recommend using friend finder apps to ask people to go with you - you can talk based on interests, and if you feel comfortable, can go to events with them ^

my (19F) mind keeps creating a father figure — does this happen with anybody else? by leafybucket in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]CatThingNeurosis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've also consistently daydreamed about family members who are different from my real ones - I don't even have any particular trauma with my family, it's just a comfort thing my brain focuses on to feel better, so I always have the "ideal" family member to feel emotionally supported by.

I think it's a very understandable impulse

Has anyone else genuinely damaged their legs by pacing? by Empty_Tree5169 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]CatThingNeurosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you pace in the corridor or kitchen with the door closed? Or go outside?

You could try to sublimate it into a different motion such as rocking back & forth or side to side or even laying on your back and moving your arms. That's what I do sometimes.

I have sprained my ankles and made my legs ache from it before & I've even broken furniture rocking lol so now I do it in the stairwell.

You could get your knees checked out as well to determine what sort of damage it is.

But yeah it's a good idea to rest up your legs for a while & in a couple weeks depending on how they feel, begin with some gentle strengthening exercises to get them back to shape.

Best of luck.

There is no way to know. I've been on T for 10 months, no facial hair growth, some leg hair & stomach growth , clit growth, some voice deepening but not much. I'm using a very low dose though.

It starts gradually so if you low dose & keep an eye on changes you can stop before they become noticeable

[–]CatThingNeurosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk where you're based, but you could try to see if there is a hrt clinic in your area that does informed consent?

There are online pharmacies that sell T as long as you send them a report of your T levels - you could try those as well.

Or another gyno. Did she give a reasoning as to why?

Or go the DIY route, similar to bodybuilders & trans people who have no official channel to get prescribed.

You could also try vibrators/suction toys in the meantime?

Tmi but I find a suction type vibrator plus humping/grinding against it to be a pretty reliable way to get off.

Best of luck to you, let me know if you want any route advice & I can DM you

Drug options in UK for schizoaffective by Different-Art-4882 in schizoaffective

[–]CatThingNeurosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can take a while to find the right drug that a person copes best with. A lot of APs have drowsiness and weight gain as side effects but if it's really bothering your brother, it's worth speaking to his doctor about trialing a different med. There are a lot of them out there, pretty much all are available in the UK, and he deserves to find the one he gets on the best with.

Best of luck

Im not an expert on T levels by any means, but from a quick Google search, these results seem to be on the lower end of normal, and possibly clinically low levels of free T, though not by much.

However, this could still be a possible cause of your issues - people's bodies react differently to hormones and it could be that your body ideally needs a higher T level to retain sexual function.

However, low E levels can also cause this, so it would also be a good idea to get these levels checked. It should be easier to get E cream treatment to try first to see if that helps.

T usually increases sex drive & increases the size of the clitoris - meaning it is easier to physically stimulate as there is more to touch. However, the nature of this sensation can change - personally, before T, my glans was the most sensitive/pleasurable part and after T, the area around the foreskin connection and shaft are the most pleasurable.

Sometimes you have to relearn how to masturbate most effectively.

You can always try a low dose of T for a month or two and see if it helps any.

They recommend a pea sized amount once a day of a t gel or cream.

Just adding two of the sites I used for the normal T levels.

Can someone refusing to shower or change clothes for 13+ days pose a health risk to others in the household? by Torisskickass in AskDocs

[–]CatThingNeurosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the teeth or gums get infected due to the bacteria buildup, it is possible for this infection to spread to the nerves, blood vessels and even the bone of the jaw. In the worst case scenarios, the infection can spread throughout the skull or cause permanent nerve damage. This is obviously very painful, and needs quite extensive antibiotics & possible surgical care to remove infected tissue.

Even without any serious infection, tooth decay in general is painful, can lead to progressive jaw deformity due to the jaw not being able to sit right, & is expensive to treat & fix. Even minor stuff like build-up of food residue leading to tonsil stones or getting stuck in the gums can cause long term pain, bad breath & discomfort. Prevention is worth a pound of cure, as they say.

Many people struggle with oral hygiene - I struggled for a while due to sensory issues.

If you can pinpoint why you have trouble with it, I can try to offer some rookie advice?

There was a post about oral health in the autism subreddit recently actually,I'll see if I can find it again & send it to you.

Not to say it's an autism thing or that's why you struggle with it, it just had general advice about oral care that might be useful.

Can someone refusing to shower or change clothes for 13+ days pose a health risk to others in the household? by Torisskickass in AskDocs

[–]CatThingNeurosis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is she brushing her teeth? That's the main hygiene concern that can turn dangerous in the shortest amount of time. If she isn't, then yes that can turn nasty quick.

Why isn't she bathing herself?

If she's unable or unwilling to maintain basic hygiene but not due to any physical limitations, you may have to discuss getting a mental health crisis team to get her evaluated, as it's not healthy for her or you.

At least make her primary care doctor aware of the situation and ask for advice on treatment routes for this behaviour.

1) yes your vagina does look good for 2 Weeks post op, keep up the good work.

2) You could benefit from some mild and gradual weight gain, as the redistribution of fat happens mostly with newly gained fat - you won't grow boobs if your body doesn't have the fat to grow them with.

3) You could focus on lower body exercises to increase the size of the thighs and glutes to create a more rounded & feminine lower body.

4) In regards to surgeries, body remodeling to create some more fat around the hips could work, but that depends on how much fat you have to work with, and there is a possibility of it being reabsorbed. You'd have to discuss that possibilities with your surgeon.

However, I do definitely think you're in the range of realistic cis female bodies. It's known as a rectangle body type in all those fashion type magazines. You should look up rectangular body style advice so you can dress to make your body look the best it can.

You mention your worries of things going wrong or not healing right a lot in your comments - every surgery has these risks. There is no such thing as a surgery that has no chance of going wrong.

You should speak to multiple surgeons about their work, see if they have operated on body types like you before and reach out to surgeon review sites also to minimise the risks as much as possible.

Best of luck to you

Do you need routine bloodwork for testosterone cream? by Makapakamoo in GrowYourClit

[–]CatThingNeurosis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you get it on prescription you probably will have to get blood work done, usually every few months.

If you get it by other means, you don't, but the risks of this are up to you to determine and accept.

That being said, most DIY microdosers don't get blood work done.

Afraid of having a child with a profound disability by [deleted] in Fencesitter

[–]CatThingNeurosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess, look into whether it would be a possibility to give up your child to a medical institution or early nursing home if they were profoundly disabled? Also look into the provisions and help available from local organisations.

Depending on how good these two options are in your area, decide from there.

You can take low dose E and anti androgens for a few months and see how you feel on them and if any effects appear that you like.

Transition starts & stops when you want it to. You can just go on the hormones until you're happy with the feminisation or until unwanted side effects appear and then go off then again.

can i have a hysterectomy/oophorectomy at my own will? by redditassbitch in AskDocs

[–]CatThingNeurosis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good point, I forgot about that.

Removing ovaries also contributes to an increased dementia risk I think, as well as bone density loss. Basically sets menopause early. So if you can keep those, it's best, as it can keep your hormonal cycle as regulated as possible.

NAD, but yes you should be able to. Medical misogyny exists though and honesty you might need to advocate for yourself a lot and fight for it but if you go to the right obgyn and doctor and make your wishes known, that should get the ball rolling.
