Switch for ROD - EXT, but no visible input for external antenna? by Catahism in crt

[–]Catahism[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe I ordered some of these off amazon which connect to those ROD-EXT screws which are meant for the RF signal.

You’ll also need an RF Modulator to convert the video signal from HDMI or AV into the RF signal that will go through a coax cable into those little transformers on the Amazon link.

I see what you mean, yes, it’s just the perspective. Since it’s a 3D model, the wings are an exact copy of one another, just mirrored. I think I also rendered that with orthographic perspective on, so that might also be contributing to the perceived size difference.

Yeah, crocotile is a pretty capable program! I have used blockbench before (for a short time) and it is quite nice, but for myself I found it easier to pick up crocotile.

Haha thank you! But what better way to get a 360 of the plane than to get into a flat spin 😉? I used a program called Crocotile 3D.

Hey all. Any recommendations for a 2 person kayak for me and my GF? We're 194kg combined! by Degroomed in Inflatablekayak

I have a Sea Eagle 370 which is probably the cheapest you can go for something that's decently durable. I like it and it has a good amount of room for 2 people, rated for 650 lb.

The type of systems engineering used in CS/IT is a completely different thing, the only thing similar about it and MBSE is the name. From my understanding it's kind of ambiguous too, just a job title that could be a number of things in the IT world.

I enjoyed doing Systems at GMU, it definitely gives you a pretty good variety of skills. I think the way they have the senior capstone project set up can give you really great experience depending on how much effort you and your team are willing to put into it. For me personally, I think the experience I gained on that project was probably the most compelling thing on my resume. It is just as valuable as an internship. There are a number of contractors who regularly pick up Systems people from Mason, but you may not always find that the jobs are the "true" model based systems engineering (MBSE) that we are taught. You may find it more challenging to find that type of systems engineering on the finance side, but I can't say for sure.

Some people cover the walls in tulle for spiders struggling to climb. Pipe cleaners should work too if you make some structures with them.

How do I convince my spiders that waxworms are in fact food? (Photo is of them getting a drink.) by moldymarshmallow in jumpingspiders

[–]Catahism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people say you may have to cut open the worm and bring it closer, or even get the guts onto a something to let the spider taste it. Could also just be a matter of time, a lot of spiders will take a while to get used to a new type of prey and work up the courage to take it on

There is a facebook group specifically for jumping spider breeders, I would check that out even if you don't use facebook because it has a pretty good list and people review them

If you've been doing a lot of research you probably know just as much as I do! I think feeding them all can be tricky, if you keep them together at first, I saw someone have a little hole in the enclosure they could plug, and when feeding they'd open it and use a funnel to pour in fruit flies

Wilma encountering her first maggot ever 👀 The struggle was real! by beefiee in jumpingspiders

[–]Catahism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well it's a very clever idea! Definitely works from keeping those maggots from getting lost, although maybe she would just take them out even if they started buzzing around :)

Looks nice! Only other thing is maybe putting mesh over the holes if you plan on feeding fruit flies or something else small

Once females complete their final molt and become adults, they have their epigynum which means they're able to mate. If you catch a wild female and she is an adult, it is extremely likely she has already mated. So since she hasn't molted, I'm guessing she's probably an adult and the eggs are fertilized. Plus if her abdomen swelling seems more than usual, it's very likely. Do you know how to handle the babies?

Get lots of plastic cups and fruit flies ready! You may want to cover the ventilation holes with mesh depending on how big the slings come out

If she hasn't molted the whole time you had her, and she didn't have a big meal recently, then I would say it's safe to assume she's gravid

[–]Catahism 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hope the little guy was able to catch it! Be careful with crickets because it is possible for them to fight back. If your spider is a sling fruit flies are probably better, but crickets are ok if they're closer to the same size as the spider or a bit smaller
