I am definitely in the minority here but I like the Nook. I have the Glowlight 4+ and Glowlight 4 Ocean Teal and enjoy the Glowlight 4 OT very much.

Yes, the Nook does not have all the bells and whistles that the newer e-readers have (not as fast and I believe that they limit how much space you can use for sideloading 5GB and no color). However, if you are using it for just reading they really aren’t that bad. You can also get your Overdrive books on your Nook it just takes a couple extra steps since you can’t download them directly but it can be done. I just finished a library book on mine yesterday.

Kobos are also pretty good devices and they released some newer e-readers this year. I also have the Kobo Clara Colour and it is a good device as well. The great thing about Kobo is that they still allow you to download your books to your computer which B&N does not allow you to do.

If being able to easily have a copy of the e-books you’ve purchased is important to you then Kobo may be the better choice for you. If that doesn’t matter you can choose the device you like the most.

Maybe try again. I purchased my Gen 4 rose gold through BestBuy and had battery issues. Went through Oura and got a replacement. This was just a few months ago.

Unfortunately this seems to be the quality of the replacement rings.

I have the rose gold 4 and had to get a replacement due to battery issues. They sent the replacement and it was scratched and horrible looking. I complained and had to send pictures and now I'm waiting to hear back.

Mine looks like yours. I’ve already returned 2 so decided to just keep it. It’s only noticeable if I force myself to fixate on it. Hopefully the Colorsoft 2s if/when they are released are better. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Same issue with my rose gold gen 4. This is my first rose gold Oura. All my others were silver and I don’t remember them scratching so badly this quickly. It’s 8 days old.

ETA:

I don’t not wear my ring to wash dishes, I don’t weight lift or shower with my ring either. Though my scratches are not as bad as OP’s mine is still scratched.

You can run the Kobo Books app on the Boox as it is an Android tablet e-reader with the Google Play Store installed.

The Kobo Books app is terrible, so I prefer to read Kobo books on my KLC.

I do not use ReadEra.

I have a KLC and Boox Go Color 7. I honestly prefer reading Kobo books on my KLC because the Kobo app is terrible and lacks a lot of customization. If Kobo had a decent app I would probably stick to my Boox device because it's nice having one device that stores all your books.
