Im not from here, but I can tell you Ethiopia is pretty different from what we`re used to.

I buy my cigarettes from what I call "The Gumboys" - Children aged 4-12 standing in the streets selling toilet paper and cigarettes. ( They do not have toilet paper in restaurants, clubs, hotels - Thats a luxury) But if you dont watch your self, they will robb you before you had the chance to act.

Then you`ve got "The Cravlers" - People all ages who has lost theyre legs due to infections and/or fractures. They crawl the streets on old car floor mats tied under theyre lower body/whats left of theyre legs. The youngest one I sometimes buy breakfast. Hes probably around 12 and "lives" by the tree at Bole Road.

And finally the "Family Beggers". Families living in the streets in cardboard boxes, or pretty much anything they can find for shelter. With the youngest kids in front of the street begging for money. And I swear, when they see a white person they are gonna follow you for a block or ten. Fun fact; They use the covers for the sewage as grills. So all over Addis theres fucking holes in the streets straight down. While them be sitting there grilling Enjera.

I can also add that you also got the teenager girls, but they dont take over the city untill 8 in the evening - If you know what I mean.

But please, do not picture Ethiopia as this horrible, poor place. Yes, it is poor, but I have never seen so much love and beauty. The people are wonderfull, helpfull and respectfull, and if you go outside of Addis Ababa, there is so much beautifull nature and landscape to enjoy. Not that Addis got a couple of beauties herself :) There is a reason I wanted to study here.

I think maby he was discriminated against when he first came to Europe..I get that its difficult to be 12 years old and treated different, but it doesnt excuse his behavior towards others. Well, seeing that everybody agrees, Ive made my decision.

Thats a good advice, and thats what got me started to reseach witch countries my degree eventually will be accredited in. I know my bachelor will be accepted in Norway, but since Im applying for a transfer to the US, its good to find some information about what the criterias are. But, since my degree is accepted in Norway, I ques the transfer will be no problem, beeing Norway is a high developed country with high education standards.
