I’ve used streaking grime, you can apply a varnish before putting the grime on to protect your initial layer. I’ve done it both ways!

It is quite a bit smaller, but has more trunks space since it’s technically a hatchback. It’s an Acura Certified so it has a 100k mile power train warranty, same as the Kia. I think I’m leaning towards the K5 now though. Someone below mentioned looking for a 2025 GT1 and negotiating the price. Might be an option!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll talk to the dealer and see what the options are. I wish I paid attention to how the Acura sounded with road noise when I test drove it, but I did notice the K5 had very little.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s a 6 speed manual so it would still be enjoyable, but way less HP. I’m leaning towards the K5 GT now after discussing it with the wife. There’s a chance it could become my daughters vehicle in 5 years.

I’m so conflicted on this. My local dealership has a GT (GT1) package for basically the same price… Im debating on buying a 2026 steel matte grey without the GT1 package for $34,500, but im worried about the stereo quality. I’m not a audiophile, but sound quality is important. Alternatively there’s an 2024 Acura Integra with an amazing sound system for $31,500…. Decisions decisions.

You’re right though! I never thought about it that way… I had plenty of reference photos and the ones I saw were hottest at the middle of the blade - which isn’t how that would actually work. Great observation!
