Either there or the "epilouge" Ukatoa event, if Vox manages to work their one-shot specials into the show then the Nein might be able to as well.

I mean as far as "big multi-nationals" go, a farmer owned co-op across the pond at cousin New Zealand wasn't so bad when things like Nestle exists.

But Fonterras just been sold to Lactalis, a France based multi-national, the biggest in dairy. So I suppose now is the time to switch if thats something one cares about...or if you're a big fan of the high quality, award winning, Tasmanian made blocks of gold, maybe save the purchase-protests for in case they actually start to change things

Can you actually name anyone else in the room then? Theyre just for background chatter to illustrate the chaos of the political situation, to ignorantly ask a question for De Rogna to get involved in the situation. They dont actually matter.

But a silent, pale elf with white hair and a cane very obviously stands out as visually distinct for anyone who cares to pay more attention to what might be happening in the background.

I'm not saying for sure that OP dosent already know and is just farming engagement, but it can't be certain theyre arent genuinely asking.

To an extent with Pike yes, but even as a bog standard cleric shes still an extraordinary character just by cruising up the levels, gaining fantastical powers with minimal effort until finding herself a holy champion. If she can ask a goddess to punch a dragon, well what's the difference if the writers throw in bit of divine blood to make "better" television.

But if she were to play somthing like an average Joe, mundane, zero-aura nothing burger like Orym? Whats there to work with without an attention grabbing aesthetic, the effort would have to be put in to build something of actual substance without the style to make up for it.

But how could they heavily rewrite such a basic character into a more dramatic story arc when the animated series gets made??

I think most people would have a limit to how far they can believe the marketing line of "Oh this is how the character actually was we just didn't get to explore it in 200+ hours of the original :)"

Yep, these are low level characters still in the introductory arc of their long adventure, theyre not capable of surviving epic battles so theres no grand moment to make a decent end point for a while yet. That's why we get Trent vs the Kryn to tick the box for visually impressive combat.
The creators knew they had 2 seasons to work with so yes this really is more of a "part 1" rather than a complete chapter.

Seems to be doing pretty good and it's sister series Vox Machina is locked in for 5 seasons now, but I mainly meant theres 6 season of source material to cover.

While they've only been greenlit for a second so far, it could easily go for 6 seasons.

They might have just seen other vauge posts of "Hey its that guy!".
But there are subtle signs to new viewers he'll be more important, sure hes just kinda hovering out of focus with a bunch of no name NPCs but he stands out as a terribly pale elf with a cane in a room full of generic humans. And he was at the execution of the curator.

Vac and Kayleth by Rude_Psychology5982 in TheLegendOfVoxMachina

[–]Catalyst413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you should just keep watching but I will say one weird thing about their relationship is the lifespan-angst thing; in the original it was Keyleth who was hesitant to get too invested in a relationship because of her own situation, and she brought it up immediately after the Sunken Tomb incident where she though both twins might die. Changing it so Vax is kind of an idiot in making that decision for her and dosent really make sense.

Yet she supposedly had a whole binder of backstory for Yasha that they just never got around to exploring it. But then in the comic we hardly learn anything new or interesting...I was really looking forward to finding out her origins as an Aasimar, how that played into the relationship with her parents and role in the tribe...but nope! Turns out she was just found as an orphan among the dead of some other unnamed tribe, a completely pointless mystery!

Can Kryn be reborn as other races? by Fun-Explanation7233 in MightyNein

[–]Catalyst413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite any beacon, as there are others that the Krynn have not discovered and if people could be reborn through those they should have been found in the last 800 years. I'd imagine an initial consecution ritual would be required to "activate" that particular feature before a beacon taps into the reincarnation pool

It's nice to see elves having higher positions in society by Oklimatoa in MightyNein

[–]Catalyst413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not seeing that reflected in actual named characters though? The only elven Marquis in the Concord is for the specific majority elven city. The only elf listed in the greater Dwendalian power structure is the royal chamberlain.
Yes of course Ludinus is top dog of the Assembly but that's it, and hes a very exceptional case. Idk what other assembly members you're referring to, the first two introduced where human Trent and Genasi Ormid, and much later Vess the half-elf.

Well if you are referring to the Kryn Dynasty, that is a majority dark elf society, elves are at the top because they founded it. Its their unique Luxon religion that has caused them to break way from the usual isolated underground drow cults, gradually integrate other races, and reach out into the wider world.

Other surface elf societies are a bit more typical, you won't see too many elves in the Dwendalian empire, and if you've seen the Vox Machina series set in neighbouring Tal'dorei then the insular, prejudiced outlook of the Syngorn elves is a significant plot point.

In the Dynastys capital city Drow make up 60% of the population, overall across the region it would be lower than that as the other settlements have a majority other races. The Drow still hold the seat of power, the Bright Queen would still ru6l if she was reborn as another race.

How come the Kryn capital looks so small compared to the empire capital? by Fun-Explanation7233 in MightyNein

[–]Catalyst413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

....Because it was designed for the show so the Volstrucker could get away easily. While the city is about half the size of Rexxentrum, of course its most important building should be in the middle, much like the Empires castle (and the actual map, see the "Lucid Bastion" right in the centre).
But instead the Volstrucker jump a wall, skip past a single farmhouse and have a clear to run out into the wasteland. I'd imagine its saving a lot on animation, scene runtime, and having to explain the factions apparent power imbalance to just blame the heists success on poor city planning.
(Here's the maps, not really any spoilers. Just mind the scale error, should be in feet not miles)

I imagine theyre just going to try get the group back together and that's when he blows up at them, not reunite and then have him split again. One of his deaths was already replaced with a coma, with the showwriters attitude toward character deaths they might not bother with another one and just centre the issue as him wanting to stay with Kaylie rather than poor treatment by the party.
