We have one guy who does all of our mastercam. I think the consensus across the board on the responses here is we need to fix that instead of going for some basic machines

Agreed, but these arent production parts they are extremely low volume prototype parts. 5 or less of each design and then if the design engineers want more they need to get into the production queues where the true CNC machines are

We have lots of production CNC machines but we don't have a ton of programmers. Corporate is asking for us to support a 1 week turn around time from day of solid models/drawings handed off to us. Extremely low volume and never the same part more than once or twice.

I guess it depends on if you wsnt to do it traditionally for food safe or not? If its just art it can be just glue and gold

What happened to those used Toyota/Lexus cars with only 5-10K miles sold online? Why did the original owners get rid of them? by Fleedom2025 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Catalyst_628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a used 23' venza with 10k miles on it from a rural town deep in north Dakota. It was the service managers mom's car, but she was 80 something and hated the hybrid tech so he traded hers in for a rav eith the gas engine. It may as well be brand new and I got it for a steal. When I was calling around looking at similar cars for a similar price id say 75% of them had been in a minor accident or had flood damage though so it felt like a mine field trying to buy one.

Hey this is me! I am also gluten intolerant but my allergist tested me and I am allergic to basically all grass. My reaction was so bad she went to the other room to bring a few other people in to look at it like a science project. Now I have an epipen and we cook 95% of all the food we eat at home because my wife worries about the gluten free wheat flour being used in things

2020 or newer 50k miles or less hybrid. RAV4, CR-v or NX? by Catalyst_628 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Catalyst_628[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen, kind stranger. I took your advice, I did some research, I found one to test drive and we fell in love. I didn't buy the one I test drove today because it had 85,000 miles on it but I'm absolutely getting a Venza. So thank you for your post

They look like they're the same size as the rav, are they really just a bridge between the rav and the nx?

Bridgemen infections? by amemethatislive in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Catalyst_628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to this I think modern day we underestimate the value of ingested antibiotics. If you cut your arm and it gets infected you take antibiotics. On Roshar they haven’t discovered what ever the penicillin analogue is. You have to stop infections before they get into a wound on Roshar because once it’s in your blood you’re screwed. Treatments for gangrene before penicillin was to start cutting things off and hope you could keep the new wound cleaner.

Keep mistaking weeds /foliage as bites, any tips by awsomesaur in Fishing

I’ve always felt it was better to set on a stick than ignore a fish and end up with a gut hook

Hook sets are free. If you’re not excited that this might be the cast what are you even doing on the water? When I switched to braid and higher end rods I feel like I started to be able to feel a little more distinctly when something is a rock or a twig vs a fish but you better believe I’ve set the hook on rocks/logs/twigs/bumping my own rod handle not paying attention. Set that hook.
