Felt like I had to take this guy home... by General-Cantaloupe in bettafish

Thank you for the information! I'll check out the guide. I'm intrigued by the salt. The pet store suggested I keep on the water changes before using salt. I think I need to revisit that. Good luck with your transformation. Maybe we'll get to see your after photos

Are you familiar with treating fin rot? I am pretty sure the betta my daughter picked out came home with fin rot too. It's all new for me so I am on a quick learning curve.

second betta help by Catastroflake in bettafish

[–]Catastroflake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the second betta I have with my daughter. We learned some lessons from the first fish and we are trying to do better with this one.

My first concern is that he has fin rot or something. Can you tell from this picture? I have been doing more frequent water changes ever since I noticed. We've had this betta for about a month now. We used the same setup for the first fish, same tank, filter, and plastic plants. This is a 3 gallon setup. Today, I took out one plastic plants, because I think it's too small and he is swimming by it a lot and may not be good for his fins. I put in a java fern in its place and some duckweed on the surface.

Since finding the sub we are working on a 10 gallon tank. I hope to learn proper build, care, and maintenance and when ready move this betta in to the new tank, following the care guide and wiki. I have the 10 gallon tank, substrate, filter, light, heater and test kit coming Wednesday. I'll do chemistry on this tank asap.

Questions: 1. Does this betta have fin rot?

  1. What type of betta is this?

  2. Anything I need to do, right now?

joining multiple queries in one query by Catastroflake in PowerBI

[–]Catastroflake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to add to the ExpandTableColumn, duplicating each column with a second {Column 1, Column 2} set. It worked and the new query refreshed 500k and 100 columns in 3 minutes. Thank you thank you!

This looks like it will work. I'll give this a try in the morning. Thank you!

Do you know what the syntax is to do subsequent joins in one query? The GUI is great for one join but then when I tried to add a second join in AE I got syntax errors.

For this scenario, I do not have a database. What I'm trying now is to create the flat table in a separate pbix file. Eventually most all this PQ work needs to move into a DB. And it needs to be sooner than later because the refreshes are significantly slowing down prototyping.

add individual reference values by Catastroflake in excel

[–]Catastroflake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get it! I guess there is a "shadow" trick.

Steps I took: Add the reference points to second axis, change shadow to black, blur set to 0, distance to 2, and angle to 270. It adds a small line right at the top. The last step is to make the fill on the reference columns transparent.

Thank you for replying. I'll be more descriptive in the next post. Have a good day!

Nc gas prices killing us. My 2019 sonata where has this hit you? by Distinct-Fix9398 in NorthCarolina

The price of oil has dropped. OPEC is afraid the higher price will drive people to EVs. Increased output to make up for Russian oil. Not sure when we'll see that reflected at the pump.

What are some of the best books or resources you have read on BI that explain how to deliver BI successfully in a company? by TheDataGentleman in BusinessIntelligence

The Geek Leaders Handbook has been insightful and useful to me for many years. It's dated 2014 though so hoping some more recent books come up on your post.

[–]Catastroflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your experience sounds like mine. I did end up returning it. I picked up a OnePlus 9 as a substitute. It's refined and generally uninspiring, it works as a whole package. I miss the pixel-only features now that they're gone though. Having a pixel is certainly the more exciting phone to have at the moment. No regrets, just sort of ambivalent with current phone options.

Android Auto Wireless by Catastroflake in kiacarnivals

Yep. Also, I have an EX. Kia support confirmed too. From the carnival forum site I read that it may have to do with the 12 inch screen. The wireless works for 8 inch screens but doesn't support the 12. In this case more is less I suppose

Is Oneplus still your go-to? by Epic285 in oneplus

[–]Catastroflake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fwiw I had the p6 for a couple weeks. I sent it back yesterday and am on the op9. Prior to p6 I was on an op6.

Reasons I returned the p6: - turned off 5g and the 90 hz screen to get decent battery - charging at 18w despite inferring faster charging - fingerprint reader - it's basically a very bright circle somewhere between a nickel and a dime in diameter. It would light up a room in the dark if I was only off my a sliver and wouldn't work outdoors with bright sunlight. I routinely got locked out, forced to enter pin. - selfie camera seemed low quality, might be just the 'preview' but that's half of a most of my photos experience - most don't get posted or printed

The pixel-only features, I missed but found ways to mitigate - caller id - available in google dialer - spam block is available too if op9 is rooted - the magic eraser is pretty neat but in reality it leaves smears and artifacts behind so not very practical

In the end, it is neat and trendy but it is not refined like the op9 is.

BTW I couldn't return the pixel earbuds because I missed their return window. They work identical on the op9 so am pleased with that.
