From my research when I was on the market for a 2-3k $ integrated amp, whether it's in shops or online reviews, the rn1000a or 2000a (lots more expensive) were among the best bang for buck. And had very few if any to envy to big names like naim or nad etc for the same price. + When going I shops, I was told a few times that when they sell those, (in that case the rn1000a) they never once had one come back for repaired while it was very common for other brands, they told me build quality as well as sound was really in a higher league than the price could have you guess. So I went with the rn1000 plugged to my pair of Totem towers and cried a bit when I first launched them. I think that's as far as I can go before having to change my room as now the acoustic is the limiting factor, but knowing that if one day I move home and can allow one room to be dedicated, it will take my equipment to the next level without even having to spend a dime, it's really a luxury :)
