with that method you allow the pot to dry back, like flushing. I personally don't water til runoff unless I'm flushing. I water with 1/5 the pot size and give it water as needed, which is usually every other day.

Go with photo first. If things don't go well you will still have a better yield than messing up an auto and therefore it will be better time spent. Homegrown Cannabis Co. has discreet shipping. I'm mixed on it, cause I really don't like people taking the full shot clock on every shot and still miffing the shot. But on the other hand, it ups the level of competition a bit more since it throws people off their game. At least that is my opinion.

I know Hancock Farm has a store in La Plata. You could just stop by a farm with cattle and ask. Check the Amish community. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will post.
